Christopher Robin (2018)
A movie about Pooh could be this good?!
I had seen critics' reviews of this movie before going into it. I was watching this movie with somebody who wanted to see it. The movie starts. I was waiting for something stupid or cheesy to laugh to myself about. It was still going. I was keeping my eyes out for the point where everything would go to waste. I was halfway into it and I was confused. The movie was great. Do people not like this movie because it's not super happy, sing-songy stuff like in most other kids movies? Is it a perfect movie? No. It has a few issues that don't drag the movie down too much, but they aren't glaring issues. I'd recommend this movie to everyone.
The High (2014)
Eh
With the budget this was on, it did a great job. I enjoyed the style a little bit but I thought it was definitely style over substance. It's basically a dollar store Enter the Void in black and white.
The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
The worst movie I have ever seen
I love the Matrix. The Matrix reloaded? Not so much. I can give that one some credit for building upon the world, even if the movie kinda sucks. This movie however, is the bane of my existence. I hate reviews that complain that a movie is boring. But often times I see those reviews on a masterpiece like Rear Window, which I'll admit, can be a bit slow. At least that movie makes you care. This movie is slow and doesn't have any of the magic Rear Windows has. The Matrix Reloaded did a whole lot to make me not care about these characters. Sometimes intentionally and sometimes not. This movie expects you to care about the world and these characters when it seems like there's no point. That being said, the plot is terrible. I can't even tell you what happened in this movie because it was so mind-numbing. Every single line is so confusingly worded to sound smart. It expects you to care, but I sure don't. Not even a little bit.
