The Mentalist: His Red Right Hand (2009)
To the 2 star review
I know this comment is old but, do yourself a favor and keep watching. All of your concerns will be answered.
This episode was a delightful surprise, most series wait to the end or start of a season, an episode 8 like this is totally unexpected.
Someone Great (2019)
I mean, been there done that
To those saying this isn't believable, you had a different experience. I know these people.
The Sweetest Thing (2002)
One of my favorites
The sweetest thing, all about mary, along came polly, 50 first dates, shallow hal, those comedies take me back in time
Bridgerton (2020)
The racism in the comments is disgusting
Is it historically accurate? No, is it ok to change history to suit THIS TIME, absolutely.
I don't get the absolute ignorance in all the comments. Color of the skin doesn't matter, the costumes and sceneries are beautiful, the dialogues funny, the story engaging. That's it.
Holidate (2020)
Exactly what you would expect
I don't get why the bad reviews, everything is predictable yes! That's the point. Some funny moments, more edgy than most of this genre. The characters were believable, had chemistry. Truly enjoyed it
The Last Days of American Crime (2020)
I don't get the hate
Ok, this movie isn't a 8, but it definitely isn't a 1 o 2. I've seen far worst movies with thinner plots get 10s. Its a matter of taste.
It has some interesting concepts to make you think, police brutality, big brother, etc. Blood, sex, cigarette smoke, it was ok. Nothing life changing.
Times HAVE changed, this movie a few years back wouldn't be such a flop, but they probably made it before 2020, judge it like a movie, it obviously isn't pretending to be anything more than that
Dash & Lily: New Year's Eve (2020)
Good ending but...
I liked the story, maybe a bit cringy at times but it's one of those simple stories that make you feel good, nothing too complicated.
But...
That ending, those parents trapped on traffic while their 17 year old takes off running, probably losing their flight. If they were leaving so soon it was because they probably didn't have a choice, the father needed the job and the family the money. Back then, before cellphones, movies and series always had this kind of scenes with disconnection, bit in 2020? That's not a good excuse. She could have called o text.
R.I.P.D. (2013)
Entretaining
It was good, I enjoyed it. Great cast, sometimes funny.
The Haunting of Hill House (2018)
Masterpiece
One of the best series Ive ever seen. Superv cast, scrips, visuals, everything
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Entretaining for sure
It wasn't a waste of time, perhaps you should watch it before Hill House (JUST IMPOSSIBLE to top) but this one was good, different genre, different energy. Episode 5 was perfection.
Enola Holmes (2020)
Teen girls are smarter than this
I mean, I get it wasn't made for sherlock Holmes' fans, it's for a younger audience, but the story could have been richer, more complex. A lot of the dialogues were cringy, like those disney tv shows made for 6-12 year olds.
Still, great cast, lovely scenery. Movie made for kids.
Lucifer (2016)
New favorite series, please give it a chancd
I absolutely love it. I had seen a few promos on tv, always thought it was a the Mentalist/castle knock off, I'm so glad I gave it a chance.
It's extremely funny, clever, great actors and characters.
I dislike Eve so very much, but the series is worth every second, even with her.
I just finished the first half of season 5, I told myself to watch it slowly and enjoy every second, but I finished the 8 episodes in 2 days, I'm addicted. I NEED MORE ASAP.
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (2020)
Still good
I cried being 12 watching the old one, and I cry now at 28. The product placement doesn't bother me, the important thing is that these families are getting what they deserve. Jesse is sweet, maybe he can bring new viewers. I don't get the hate, I give 10 stars because this kind of show need to continue on the air. Get some perspective people
Seven Pounds (2008)
Beautiful movie
I truly enjoyed this movie, I rewatch it every time it's on tv, the best part of humanity.
Great performances, music and photography.
Black·ish: Blue Valentime (2018)
Perfect episode
People rating this episode one star is absolutely madness. I get that you watch this show to have fun, laugh, if you want drama you pick other shows, but you can't deny this was executed to perfection. beautiful cinematography and real issues that every couple has dealt with. Rating a one because it made you sad it's childlike.
9-1-1: Lone Star (2020)
Acceptable, no regrets
I truly enjoyed it. Entertaining, great cast. I don't understand why so many low reviews. In a scale from 1 to 10, any bad series it's perhaps a 6, 5. But a 1, that should equal to extremely offensive content, I just don't get the exaggeration.
Gisaengchung (2019)
Superb casting and direction
All the actors were convincing, intense performances by all of them. Great directing, art and photography. Some of the most beautiful shots I have seen , specially considering the places they were showing.
Little Women (2019)
Weird casting
It's absurd that the same actress plays Amy both at 12 and 19 years old. In the scene at her school, she looks like the teacher surrendered by little kids. 1994 approach with two Amys it's much more believable. Amy's actress is three years older than Beth's, I get that with her health issues Beth could look younger, but still think it's a weird casting. Florence Pugh is a great actress but there is NO WAY believable as the youngest sister.
The new movie it's good, the constant flashbacks are a different take on the famous story, but, if you haven't seen the older versions nor read the book I don't know if the story it's clear enough.
What We Do in the Shadows (2019)
Laughing out loud funny
Clever and funny. Great characters and story, a pleasant surprise.
