Starship Troopers: Invasion (2012)
Cliche and non-creative garbage
Poor dialog, terrible voice acting, and cliche in every sense of the word. The animation is subpar, the story lacks substance, and the nudity is silly. Shows no imagination and unrealistic action sequences - typical of mediocre animated action movies. It is hard to find anything redeeming in this animated pile of crap, even the action sequences are silly and no better than the old Saturday morning cartoons of days gone by. The characters are uninteresting and nothing holds the viewer, nor does it make the viewer think. I tried to watch this with an open mind, I really did but after 20 minutes I could not take it any longer. Brainless and simplistic - don't waste your popcorn.
Beyond Valkyrie: Dawn of the 4th Reich (2016)
Hollywood still cannot get it right.
Pulling grenade pins with your teeth, no fragmentation from thrown grenades, incorrect weapons, nobody sweating during or after the heat of battle, nobody even breathing hard after a firefight, charging across an open field in mass during a firefight, incorrect insignia on some of the German uniforms, just to mention a few problems. This and a totally fictitious story that is totally unbelievable, with stereotypical characters i.e., for example, all the German officers are evil, all vehicles in perfect condition without a smudge of dirt or scratched paint, everything and I mean everything predictable. Overacting seems to be the norm in this movie. I feel really sad that Rudger Hauer has to associate himself with this movie but I guess a paycheck is a paycheck.
Cobra Kai (2018)
Started Big and was goign good then Netflix happened
S1 rated 9/10 for sure. It was great to see the story and the thought that went into the storyline. I was hooked after the first episode.
S2 rated 7/10. It went pretty much as expected and it still had me rooting for Johnny and Cobra Kai, hated Sam as she cause all the problems. However what brought the show down was the season finale. I absolutely hated it.
S3 2/10. Terrible scripts, terrible fight scene choreography, higly precitable espisodes (very unlike S1 where each episode kept you geuessing), leadng to the season finale which was so obviuos I coudl hardly watch it.
S4 DID NOT WATCH as Season 3 ruined it for me.
I gave it an overall 6 but had it ended after season 2 I wouded have rated it an 8, possibly a 9.
Ardennes Fury (2014)
Yes another The Asylum piece of crap
Just like 99.9% of all films made by The Asylum, this one is a real stinker. A rip off of the movie Fury (which was also bad but not liek this), poorly directed, written terribly, and as usual awful acting. The Asylum proves once again that they cna take a bad idea and make it worse.
Flight World War II (2015)
No surprise here as The Asylum fails yet again.
What can I say? It was made by The Asylum and is another in a long line of complete garbage films. Their record of cheaply made, poorly acted, and awful screenplays is known far and wide and this film is no acception.
Dune Drifter (2020)
Poor copy of Enemy Mine
To me it appears the writers and director either never saw the movie Enemy Mine or stole the basic plot directly from it. The enemy is called the Drekk and in the movie Enemy Mien the enemy is call the Drak. There were so many stupid things that are in the film. Personal weapons that can barely stun an enemy yet blow a 6-foot-wide hole in a ship, an obvious survival tent which is labeled as an Emergency Lifebuoy but is called a life raft, the worst personal gunnery skills I have ever seen - even for pilots, a monster that can physically rock back and forth a heavy duty space fighter yet can barely rip a hard light holographic tent - which by the ways continues to function as the ripped portions flap in the wind, the list goes on. When the gunner, who I believe earlier stated she had never seen a Drekk before, actually kills one and then she just walks away not even curious enough to pulls its mask off to see what it looks like. I will not even get into the silly helmets and visors they wore nor that pathetic opening space battle with every fighter pilot and gunner broadcasting on the comms all at the same time and visuals at that. Trully very painful to watch.
The only reason I gave this movie a 1 is that you cannot rate it a zero.
In a Valley of Violence (2016)
Oh this was/is a comedy
When I first started to watch this movie I thought it had terrible dialog (using modern days slang and dialog), campy lines, and misdated weapons and technology I would have given the movie a rating of 2.
However once it was pointed out to me that this was a comedy, it started to make sense. Now I started to laugh, ignored the inaccurate technology and weapons ,the use of modern dialog, and just sat back and enjoyed it.
The charters were bland and predictable with the exception of The Marshal played by John Travolta as his was the only believable one. The plot was really non-existent and highly predictable.
Still it is an easy movie to follow and rather safe for all.
Extraction (2020)
Video Game Cut Scene style movie
It was like watching all the cut scenes from a video game put together with the same campy dialog. ZERO plot, no imagination there what so ever. The extraction plan was no plan at all. Everything was highly predictable. Half way through the movie we we thought it was over, we were wrong. You do not care about any of the characters. May of the firefight scene reminded us of Arnold's Commando movie - the good guy shoots and never misses, the bad guys cannot hit their target even at extremely close range.
Not worth the time.
Skylines (2020)
Another poor copy of Aliens
So the writers of this movie were watching Aliens at the same time. Many many scenes stolen directly from Aliens. Beyond that it had such campy dialog that you could have made it into a drinking game. The budget was obviously spent on the special effects, not the script. So many plot holes, so many unanswered questions about the Pilots. I gave it one star for the special effects, one star for the only actor, Alexander Siddig,, and one star because the eyes of the Pilots were Red when friendly and Blue when not (all other movies it was always the other way around - finally someone changed that).
The Dalton Gang (2020)
Cannot even judge historical accuracy
Normally when a movie comes out that s based on some historical event, such as the Dalton Gang, I always judge it first by its historical accuracy. However I never made it far enough into the movie for that. Such terrible acting and dialog, even worse cinematology and directing led me to stop watching about 15 minutes in. In fact it was so bad I had to keep watching after 5 minutes just to see how truly bad this movie is. As one reviewer said. why on Earth was this movie ever released.?
