Kina et Yuk, renards de la banquise (2023)
Adventurous, arresting
You don't see many cinema adaptations of animal documentaries. Judging by this movie, this may be a mistake. An exciting and captivating story of two polar foxes and wide, high-quality shots of arctic nature had my attention throughout the entire length of this movie. I was.surprised at how many plot twists could this movie offer, even though it was just a sequence of foxes' life events. Although not human, these actors delivered the ingenuity and quite successfully evoked empathy, as I laughed from cute little squeals of the foxes, feared the thuds and loud barking of dogs, and felt happy for them once reunited, after many adventures and almost imminent death of the male.
Overall, cute little movie, kids might like it, although the ones that were in the cinema with me weren't too captivated, unlike myself. Thanks to the French producer team, cheers from Ukraine.
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (2019)
A story of a thousand and one cliche
If you like Hollywood movies about the conflict of generations, over-accentuated feminism, a hint about marriage to them free-living millenials who just won't take any bank loans, a conventional villain with the boring plan, and some boom bangs to top it all, go see that movie. For me, personally, it was a big mistake. Could not watch more than half an hour.
