Please remove Mr. Buxton and his boring phrases
28 February 2023
Hearing 5 seasons of Mr. Buxton banal phrases is extremely annoying. Don't know who is interested for the same obvious quotes like yeah the Qualifying is so important you want to be 1st blah blah blah. Someone in Netflix should watch this series and decide to remove this useless parts. Hard to hear that every episode. First season was quite watchable but it is just losing quality. Same repetitive phrases again and again. You can predict what are they going to say almost. The production team can't extract material from amazing years in Fromula 1 where there was a lot of drama and they just build unreal drama what is completely unnecessary.

Don't watch this with your kids! It's a story of despair and misery.
2 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
It's a sad sad world, as you will see in this movie. A movie about a dog not suitable for kids, because it will break their hearts with the never-ending sadness.

This movie is a real masterpiece from former Soviet Union and it was nominated for Oscar as the best Foreign movie at that time. The quality of the movie is really amazing, the acting of the main dog character is outstanding. The only problem with the movie is the depiction of the communist reality which mirrors itself in the human characters in the movie.

Beware this is a story of sadness and misery with a bad end. Although you will try to hold to the hope, that it will end with a happy "Hollywood" ending, this isn't the case. It is a story of though journey of a loving dog missing his master across the Soviet Union, meeting many brave and good characters but mostly just cruel and wicked people treating him badly.

Prepare a box of Kleenex for this movie you will need it!

Unwatchable peace of .... cinematography!
4 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is so awful, that I have decided to review it, to warn other people from watching it. I need to say that as a kid, I was a huge fan of TMNT, but what they do to them in this movie is worse that what the mutagen did to them.

First the appearance: the New Turtes look like some zombie monsters, they are ugly and huge, something like the clone between the nice TMNT from my childhood cloned with Godzilla. Maybe this is, what the kids of today want to see, who knows. Shredder looks like some Decepticon from Transformers movie mixed with bird, as he has some kind of steel feathers / knives at at the end of his hands. It is unbelievably ugly what they did to him too. Splinter is the ugliest of the all, so no further comments.

The plot: they changed everything now, so Splinter didn't learn his martial art skills from his master but from a BOOK !!! Yes he just found a book in sewers and learned martial arts like that in no time. And Aprils dad worked in the lab with mutagen, and knew the Turtles and Splinter and rescued them when the lab burned down. The connections between the characters are really unbelievable, so prepare yourself for more logical nonsense, but never mind it is a movie for kids.

The jokes: they are none. The Turles of my childhood were all about fun and jokes, the Michelangelo was always the funniest turtle around, but as he grow 3 meters tall in this movie, hi became boring. So there are almost no jokes at all, just Godzilla sized turtles packed with muscles. The only joke is that the turtles are bulletproof (yes really), so that is quite funny really.

The movie is boring as hell, if you can, don't watch it! But maybe your kids will like it and you could buy them some ugly toys which are gonna be on sale soon. That is why this movie was made for, or not? Cowabunga!

Drastically over dramatized
28 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I have to say, I find this show really over dramatized. The host is amazing, the setting is amazing, the fish also but what Discovery did to make it bombastically fantastic is too much for me. The plot usually begins with hearing a rumor about a man-killing fish in some exotic country of the world. Than the host arrives there and no one is telling him the truth / about a fish !!!! Commmon that is unbelievable. After some investigation he find some mysterious fisherman (or even shaman in Africa :)who finally tells him the name of the fish and than he tries to catch that fish.

This documentary tries to be a thriller but what for? It has just the repeating reconstructed sequences over and over.

I would like to have this show more calm and documentary, without this laughable thriller passages, which are unbelievable and ruin the atmosphere.

I think Discovery should learn more from BBC how to do it right. Less of boring dramatizations and more reality in to the documentary.

Great show about tough towing company in the Canadian mountains
26 November 2013
I have to say that I don't like many of the Discovery Channel shows, because they are so much staged and you can see and feel it. This show however feels somehow real and the main characters are likable guys, doing their exhausting work in the bad conditions of Canadian mountains. If you like cars and trucks this is a show for you, in my country we don't have such though conditions so we don't have such high-tech towing companies as Jamie Davis has. I watched every episode with great interest, you can see amazing performance by the towing crew. Jamie himself is a great character and great boss too, who tries to solve problems with his employees in a good and fair way, you have to admire him.

I love the last episodes of every season, where they meet at a table, drinking beer and summarize the whole season. It gives the show another perspective and deepness.

Overall a great show about huge trucks in the ditches of the CCHL Highway, combined with great team of people and interesting problems to solve.

Thanks Discovery :)

Mighty Ships (2008–2018)

Travel the World and the Seven Seas
6 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This is an amazing show, for all of you, who likes the technology marvels in the world. The show will show you amazing ships, made for different purposes, which are fulfilling their tasks in the was oceans and seas.

The show is very well made, usually with an Canadian narrator with pleasant voice, which guides you through the each episode.

The camera is really suburb and there is always something going on, to keep you interested.

I am genuinely surprised by some vessels on this show, as I haven't got an idea that mankind could build something like that and that they are people able to control and manage it.

As a technology freak I love this show and hope it will continue for a long time.

Fair winds and following seas for all :)

Dexter: Make Your Own Kind of Music (2013)
Season 8, Episode 9

Worst Season Ever !
26 August 2013
Everyone was waiting for this final season of Dexter, but what we are looking at is one of the weakest seasons ever. The dialogs remind me of Beverly Hills 902 10, the plot lacks any excitement or a moment of surprise.

It looks like the creators decided to put too many subplots and no leading main idea, which will hold it together. We are watching Dexter / Hannah love story, Debra / Queen, Queen / Jamie, Dexter / Vogel, Queen / Batista, Masuka / His Daughter etc... The whole plot is being cut into pieces and it is boring as a whole. You are just sitting and listening to dull dialogs and no action, which you are expecting of the final season.

I am feared how this would end. I was hoping that the last season will be comparable to the first season of Dexter (Ice Truck Killer one) which was the best ever. But so far I doubt about it and are waiting for the worst to come :)

TG losing its points
18 February 2012
I am a huge fun of the Top Gear series. I am being watching it for years. I have to say that it is the best car show ever, even my girlfriend who is not interested in cars is watching it with me. The TG guys are so funny and the ideas of producers could not be more crazy. This season is for me a big disappointment. Even the India Special is somehow weak, without any remarkable moment. TG is somehow losing its funny moments and ideas.

I hope the next episodes will be better than this and the India special.

I wish lot of good ideas to the TG crew for the rest of the season.

Nyócker! (2004)
10/10
The pearl of East Europe
10 December 2005
I red other user comments and I don't like the connections between Nyocker and any other movie made outside of east Europe. Only a "natural" born Easteuropean, can fully understand the meaning and most of the jokes in this movie. The characters represent a typical example of small criminals and citizens living in poor blocks of the city, they habits and temper. The policemen for example are corrupt so real, like in our city. I think that the animation its outstanding and has nothing to do with Southpark. Respect to the authors for hours and hours of work on this movie. Everything has been made in 3d with the use of hand-drawn textures, which is much different from the Southpark way of animation. It is original in every aspect. Faces of the characters are mix of scanned photo and sketches. They mimic its affected in such a funny way that you would laugh without understand the language and plot. The best joke in this movie, are the rap songs, which parody every musical ever made on the earth. As as Easteuropean in can only recommend this movie, because it has the purest spirit of our part of the world.
