The Social Network (2010)
Criminal This Did Not Win Best Picture
This movie lost the Beat Picture Oscar to "The King's Speech," a fine film in itself but which said absolutely nothing about the current or future of the world (this was of course during the era of Miramax and the height of Harvey Weinstein's "influence"...). This film says a lot about the world; what's to come and where we are now in regards to connectivity, privacy, social norms and anxiety, and more. Exceptionally written, brilliantly directed, and extremely well-acted, with a cast of future stars that are now pretty much household names. Even better on the rewatch, it is the defining film of the 2010s.

Don't pay attention to the negative reviews
My parents and I have really enjoyed this show. Each interview goes deep and literally every guest has been insightful or at least interesting to where you want to finish the episode and crave more. I think a lot of the negative reviews here are a bit of a hit job.
Dr. Death (2021)
Well acted and great pacing!
Finally a new show I could enjoy without being bored. There's so much (too much?) content nowadays that I struggle to find shows I can seek my teeth into. This was the opposite as I binged it within 24 hours. Can't say enough about the acting; really well done.
TaleSpin: The Old Man and the Sea Duck (1990)
The Best Talespin Episode
This episode is fantastic, primarily because it gets to the heart of Baloo and his love of flying. While he's normally care free and humorous, in this episode we see just how vulnerable and scared he can be when the thing he loves most is taken away from him. It's the passion of flying that fuels Baloo's personality; the fact the writers understood this nuance and brought its juxtaposition to screen is so impressive, especially back then when cartoons were rather formulaic. I watched Talespin for the first time in 30 years today, but this is the one episode I always remembered because of how emotional it is.
