I went for this based on the reviews written here. It started off well, but as the movie progressed I did not find it engrossing enough. The plot was quite predictable. So, a bit disappointing as I was expecting lot more after reading some of the reviews here :) Michael Douglas was good.

An Okay Movie

Saw this movie last night on Amazon Prime. It is a road trip and after reading the storyline, I kind of knew what to expect and wasn't that excited. However, the reviews here were too good and so thought of giving it a try. But, I felt it was just very plan as I initially expected it to be and there was nothing out of ordinary that could excite me. Irrfan & Salman did a good job though. So, just a normal movie.

This is a wonderfully made movie by Quentin Tarantino. A nice blend of action and humor. Christoph Waltz who received Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for this movie was just amazing. Jamie Foxx executed his role very well too. Finally, the background music was just perfect for the movie.

Disappointing movie

I normally don't watch a movie until I know that the movie has really good reviews. I made an exception for this movie and it totally disappointed me. I think a great script and a talent like Nawazuddin was wasted. The movie did not feel scary at any point and I am not sure what the director wanted to prove here. I was very excited as it is not common to see an Indian movie on a psychopath (from the 60s). I thought it would be something like a Quentin Tarantino movie.

A well made movie with a good message

This is a very well made movie that successfully highlights the narrow-minded thinking of many (Indian) men. A simple smile or a touch by a female friend is all that is needed for such men to assume that the girl is interested in them and sometimes they even go as far as viewing it as an invitation for a physical relationship. Glad to see a movie made on this subject. I think all the actors have done a great job. Only reason I have taken out 2 stars is because at times I felt the acting was unnecessarily a bit dramatic in the lines of a typical Bollywood movie. When you make a movie with a pure social message such as this, then it will be most effective if everything is 100% authentic regardless of how big the actor is.
