Curb Your Enthusiasm: Foisted! (2017)
I don't know how to feel about this episode
I wouldn't exactly say this was bad, but something was a little off with this episode. This is coming from someone who absolutely loves this show and would give just about every episode up to this point a ten. I even rank this show slightly above Seinfeld. However, this was a strange episode. Overall I think the story was actually decent, but Larry's execution of the lines seemed a little bit weird and even a bit forced to me. Where in previous seasons the dialogue flows from scene to scene as if it were just happening in real life, this episode felt a bit too much like he was doing a bit the whole time. Still, I'm definitely not giving up on this show as it could just be first episode jitters. Hopefully this doesn't end up like one of those reunion shows that were talked about so much in season 7...
True Detective (2014)
Best TV watching experience of my life
The first season of this show was just insanely good and if you haven't watched it yet then don't hesitate to. I went in to this show thinking that I might just watch a little bit of it but I ended up watching season one over the course of one relatively busy day. I just kept going back to it and I have to say it was the best TV watching experience of my life. Everything about the show is just such high quality, from the cinematography, to the acting, to the story line, and it was all shot in some absolutely amazing parts of southern USA. I was invested in every second of this show and even though the end of season 1 was extremely satisfying I was still left wanting more. In a good way though. Overall season 1 would probably be the best show on HBO, even above Game of Thrones, although going by both season 1 and 2 together it would be tough to say that it's the best that HBO has to offer (Not that season 2 is even bad). So yeah, this is an absolute masterpiece. Watch it.
Deadpool (2016)
If you're only interested because of the hype, don't waste your time with this one.
Not a terrible movie, but after all the hype I was pretty disappointed really. I was expecting something at a higher standard than say the avengers but that's unfortunately about as good as it was. Could have missed this one. That's not to say it has absolutely no redeeming qualities. The action scenes for one thing weren't terrible but even still, they may have been a little too cgi. There weren't many interesting plot developments so it was hard to stay captivated and by the end of it I felt like I had just wasted the past 2 hours or so of my life. I would recommend spending the 2 hours of your life that you would spend watching this movie on something more useful like making a meal that you've never made before, or going for a run. If you are thinking about watching this because of the hype, just know that you're not really missing out on much.
