Of Shark and Man (2015)
A "Jaws" dropping film that will change your perception of sharks forever
Like many people, I always associated sharks with the bad guys. I know they only do what comes naturally, but in a straight fight between humans & sharks, humans tend to come second. David Diley's film has made me re-assess my feelings about sharks.
David obviously loves sharks. Each to their own I say, but his passion and enthusiasm is contagious, I admire anyone with an all-consuming passion, even if I don't "get it". I was captivated from the very beginning by his desire to break out of life's expected conventions and go for the dream. The more people say "It can't be done" he went and done it! I was on the edge of my seat. not sure the "happy ending" we were all hoping for would come true. The viewer is treated to a roller coaster of emotions as David overcomes hurdle after barrier to realise his dream.
The underwater photography is amazing, mind boggling actually. The music further enhances the visuals. It deserves a much wider audience in order to educate that sharks can inspire. David's film certainly can and I urge anyone with an open mind to see this very important film.
