Stereotypical Boris Johnson like view of Liverpool.

Thought Martin Freeman did a good job of the accent, other than that it played out like an overlong silly episode of Brookside cum liverpool one/Harry Enfield the scousers with a stupid pointless unbelievable ending that was so daft it was annoying. As Jim royle would say ... based on true events my a@#!

The Shrink Next Door (2021)

Great acting within an unbelievably true , true story

Superb effort from Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd and utterly compelling.

It is sad to see how someone in a position of trust can manipulate someone who is in an emotionally vulnerable state. And doing so over a gradual period time.

Many cults do this cutting off family ties , forbidding relationships getting to devote all of your time and money to them for their own benefit.

This is alot different from what you have seen these two brilliant leads in and so emotive .

Brilliant.

Ted Lasso (2020–2023)

Best show on Television, I joined apple tv to watch this.

Such a great show , addictive and very bingeworthy with characters you truly care about and characters you love to hate. Sheer brilliance. My Team is Liverpool and I love them , AFC Richmond is on equal terms with them.

Outstanding acting from both the main leads . The ending though was far fetched and daft and let it down. Outstanding , but the end let it down.

I Loved it , it was daft in parts but hugely watchable and enjoyable. It reminded me of the A Team prior to them breaking out of the military stockade , even though they don't in this.

Really well acted and gripping drama, once again Jimmy McGovern shines through. Excellent cast and powerful acting , mesmerising. 3 hours well spent.

It was watchable and well acted but it was devoid of purpose and aimless , I kind of guessed the ending it was like a never ending story with no point, I actually felt sorry for her family who would naturally be concerned for her. Good advert for Amazon though.

The Father (I) (2020)

Excellent acting by all , powerful , sad insight.

This is Anthony Hopkins best film to date , his performance his peerless. This told entirely from his perspective and understanding. It is bewildering and tragic. I loved this film but it is sad and pulls no punches in regards to growing old with dementia.

Rambo: Last Blood (2019)

Makes "Taken" look like Bambi.

Just a brilliant thoroughly enjoyable good old fashioned popcorn action thriller revenge flick with a heart that is every bit as good as 1 and 4 which are my personal favourites. Be warned though the violence in this Rambo movie is extreme brutal and bloody and certainly not for the faint hearted.

This film has been likened to Get Carter , the Sylvester Stallone version yes . Not the Classic Michael Caine version. It was utter rubbish . Don't waste your time.

Having been raised in the JW cult I can say that even a witness could watch this without any worry. The JW mother in this is so typical of many many loyal jehovahs witness women who put "Jehovah" or the edicts of a small group of men in Brooklyn first. I was a regular pioneer and a ministerial servant and went to the pioneer school and sadly converted 3 people to the religion one of whom is now an elder from both street work and door to door work. The main thing more than anything else that caused me doubts about this religion was just reading the bible itself which is its greatest critic. The mother in this would be seen by the witnesses as strong in the "truth" and therefore loyal in the face of adversity. I would recommend this film to witnesses and non witnesses alike as there is nothing out of place here.

The best part of this film was the first 5 minutes, after that it slowly but surely gradually declined. I regret to say this as I loved the original and still do. The good part is it completely disregards all of the sequels, this is the first sequel which made it all the more disappointing.

The Meg (2018)

Good old fashioned popcorn monster movie
