Excellent TV show overall. Only two gripes:

1. It slowed down a lot after the riot. The series probably could have ended with the end of the riot.

2. Amanda Fuller as "Badison" was terrible. Her "Boston" accent was worse than any of Ben Afflekc's "Boston" accents.

A nifty concept, but just like the kid's game the movie is short (content-wise). However, it seems / feels like a 5 hour ordeal for really only about 40 minutes of unique viewing.

As others have said it really makes it a point to guide you down one ultimate road...

Deviated From the Book for No Real Reason

M. Night Shamalongadingdong strikes again...basically deviating far enough from the storyline of the books to turn it into an evening soap opera. This was almost as bad as "The Mist" tv show.

Why on earth were major plot lines changed? It made it far less interesting, into a snoozer....

SJW Fans Can Unite!

This is a horrible SJW version of the movie. It is so bad, it is comical. The first episode is chock full of SJW BS trying to pander to the younger generations. A person can sexually identify as a toaster and be comfortable watching this TV show. If that was the end goal, then well done to the writers and producers!
