Where the Crawdads Sing (2022)

The most wonderful film

This is probably the most wonderful film I have seen in 20 years . The casting , acting and cinematography is epic standards . The story line is a lesson in life - stay curious not judgemental - and the whole thing is tense , emotional , gorgeous , hard hitting , sad and joyous . The 2 hours passed in a blink and the four of us watching hardly spoke it was so good . Daisy Edgar Jones is simply outstanding throughout , as are all the major characters . I'm not going to spoil the plot , but make the time , put your phone down and enjoy every moment of this sensational film . Apparently it has won loads of awards - I had no idea before I watched it - but it deserves them all . Enjoy.

Killing Eve (2018–2022)

Seriously strange but addictive

Series 1 was awesome . So different. Each subsequent series gets slightly more strange . Jodie Comer is unforgettable and unique and this programme will have made her career . Sandra Oh is also brilliant .

The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe (2022)

Superb acting - unbelievable true story

Parts are slow , but the acting is superb . You loathe the characters you are supposed to and feel sorry for the others . It gets better and bette and was such an interesting story , yet so hard to believe . Worth watching.

Whitstable Pearl (2021– )

Below average acting except the main characters .... Predictable plot and all solved in 40 mins . A waste of life. I loved the main actress in 'After life ' - but this is poor .

Clever story - some good cameos especially Arianna Grande .

Really enjoyed 97% of it .

Worthy of watching.

Gets better and better - stick with it .

Gripping , edge of your seat thriller .

This is a fast pace, gripping crime thriller. I have rarely watched a crime drama with such pace . The tension is palpable throughout - and you will be hooked from episode 1 .

A Man Called Ove (2015)

It's subtitled but superb . Makes you pay attention to superbly crafted writing and touching acting . You will know you are human when you melt a little whilst watching this film . Enjoy - it's rare .

The last scenes of 200 -sorry 6 - people evacuation a plane on an emergency slide whilst taking off at 150mph ... is so funny ....

but the very last scene takes the crown ..... two people in a parachute... - my family were crying laughing . Honestly the worst film ever seen !! Lowest budget film ever .
