Marlowe (2022)
3/10
Boring.......poorly acted and written....
1 April 2024
Maybe my expectations were too high but this movie just drug on and on even though it's only a little over 90 minutes I didn't think it would ever end. Terrible dialogue- Neeson seemed to throw out a bunch of cliche phrases hoping one would sound right.... Unfortunately nothing did.... Some scenes are just stupid... instead of bedding the female lead , Marlowe suggests they dance to a record? As a detective mentions earlier in the movie... it's a good thing we don't have to register guns serial numbers... but at the end of the movie Marlowe seems to think that by holding onto the female lead's gun he can blackmail her into hiring his friend???

Napoleon (2023)

Disappointed
4 March 2024
Very disappointed in this film. The story was choppy, scenes seem to skip multiple years, continuity missing. Napoleon came off as a goon. Not sure how the way he was portrayed could have inspired so many people. Seems like writers/producers/ directors couldn't decide to make a "love" story of an epic and missed on both. Josephine was a shallow character that again seems improbable to inspire such love and attraction from so many suitors. Probably should have made this into a 8 episode mini series rather than into a 2 and 1/2 hour confusing movie. Very disappointing some scrbes(battles) were well done other scenes seem tossed in to fill in space.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith: A Breakup (2024)
Season 1, Episode 8

Downhill......
10 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Series starts interesting somewhat funny. Go downhill by each episode. By the final episode I'm hoping someone kills both of them. Both "assassins" are winy little idiots. Big fight scene in final episode neither one can hit the side of a barn firing at each other across a room. Spend thirty minutes trying to kill each other then fall back in love. Way too cute and idiotic. The characters spend eight episodes killing people feeling no remorse but they don't think they are sociopaths. Don't waste your time watching this series. Characters are lame and the stories are weak. Good concept no follow through.

Outlander (2014– )

Soap opera set in 1700s
20 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Started out with interesting premise. Ended up with a soap opera with a lot of topless shots of the star. After the first episode of season one she spends 30% of her time having sex or being potentially raped. Disappointing. First couple episodes she moans about returning to her husband, next episode she's hoping in bed multiple times with her "new" 18th century husband. Of course she happens to be married to the most enlighten man I. The 18th century who "understands" while also being the most handsome man in the highlands. She seems able to manipulate and outsmart all the other brutes in the highlands.

The Terminal List (2022– )

Mindless tv
13 August 2022
Disappointed with this series. Reece is made out to be a super hero. He gets shot I. The shoulder while being pursued but has the strength to climb down the sheet cliff. He eventually falls forty feet hits a boulder but the next day he's walking as if he spent the night at a resort. The finale is exceedingly stupid. Earlier in the series he claims no innocent lives will be taken. Yet in the finale he shoots down 20 or 30 American soldiers that are doing their job protecting (as far as they know) an innocent secretary of the navy. I guess these guys that are murdered by Reece don't have family like his "brothers".

Great possibilities but falls short
10 April 2021
This movie had great premise and promising possibilities but never really hits it stride. Little humor and no ending. Like other reviewers mention it's almost if the writers hit the 90 minute limit and threw an ending together.

Corny

Corny dialogue Predictable. Plastic acting. The writers keep throwing stuff out there hoping something will stick. Too many conspiracy angles.

Horrible second season
25 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
First season was mediocre. Second season was like watching a slow motion car wreck. It's horrible but you keep watching. My wife was optimistic it would get better. I felt like I was slowly sinking in quicksand. Tim Roth's character is one minute cold heartedly shooting people and the next is tearfully crying over his child- who isn't his child. Mother one minute has an Irish accent and the next doesn't. One minute she leaves Tim Roth to bleed to death in the snow and then is uncontrollably having sex in a stolen cab. Seems like scenes from different movies seem together to fill 10 episodes
