Marco Polo (2014)
Not historically accurate, but fun to watch
The series is nice to watch, well developed, although it leaves something to be desired in some points, such as showing little of the battles, the CGI not being so good when it changes to a long distance view during these battles, and we have the impression that the armies are made up of just a few dozen men.
Other than that, the series is well developed and fun to watch, I was disappointed that it was canceled, but I would keep watching if they had continued.
Its not a documental series like Chernoby, I don't think it was made to be realistic and historically accurate, but it's still fun to watch.
The Last of Us: Look for the Light (2023)
insanity
I was watching the series and I will continue to watch it, I really liked it and all the episodes were good, but for the world of this fictional universe, the events of this episode were a catastrophe.
He directly killed dozens of people who were completely innocent, including an unarmed doctor and a person who offered him another chance even after everything he'd done, and without regard to the hundreds of millions of people who could have been killed. Saved with the cure, effectively being the first step towards ending the apocalypse and rebuilding the world.
Joel became a real genocidal maniac.
The episode and series is very well done and I will keep watching, but the things that happened in this episode were just terrible so my low avaliation is because I was very negatively surprised at how things turned out.
Meet the Spartans (2008)
This is the best worst movie I've ever seen
The movie is intentionally low quallity, it makes crappy and stupid jokes, and that's exactly why it's funny.
Greenland (2020)
One of the best films I've ever seen in my life, really worth seeing
The film was convincing from beginning to end, unlike many disaster films, the film's apocalyptic event makes perfect sense, it is not unrealistic and unscientific like many disaster films like 2012.
There is always suspense, because you never know what will happen, where the next rock will fall. The film develops very well, having exciting action scenes and keeping the viewer's attention from start to the end, and balancing between action scenes and normal scenes.
The soundtrack is just beautiful, and the performances are incredible, the twists too, everything that happens catches your attention, and the end of the film is just incredible. The happy moments passing like flashes seconds before the impact wave hits, and then shows the destruction, desolation, a destroyed world, but in the scene where radio stations from different countries begin to respond, the door of the shelter is opened and birds they begin to fly shows hope, that as many times in the past, our species has survived a devastating event, that there will be a future, a reconstruction of the world.
This is one of the best films I've ever seen in my life, it's realistic and engaging, I'm just disappointed with such dishonest and negative reviews about such a good movie, I think this is one of the most underrated films by the imb community.
If you haven't watched the movie yet and are unsure whether or not to watch the negative reviews, give the movie a try, you won't regret it.
Underwater (2020)
One of the best science fiction films I've ever seen.
The film kept me attentive from beginning to end, it has a credible story from the point of view of science fiction, where events are explained satisfactorily, and everything is concluded in a convincing way, in addition to the film striving to make scientific sense.
This film is extremely underated, and I don't know why people are criticizing it so much.
Grade 10.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
Why so many haters?
Terminator Dark Fate exceeded my expectations.
I sincerely expected an irrelevant, generic film, most of all, as was terminator genesis, but I was surprised.
The film managed to innovate maintaining the aspects of the old ones, of fighting that holds our attention, unexpected twists and a well-developed story.
The film manages to create a new timeline with new events that make the film innovative, instead of focusing on the same timeline and events that revolve around Sarah and her son John
The film kept me entertained from beginning to end, with action scenes comparable to the old ones, and without containing meaningless or poorly explained elements.
Arnold Schwazeneger's participation was epic, and all the characters were convincing.
There is a political agenda in some who criticize the film negatively, for having Mexican and female characters. In this case, it is not characterized as a feminist agenda or anything like that, since all the characters fit perfectly in the plot without being something very artificial and without credibility, even though this feminist militancy has already ruined many films, in this specific case I believe that it has not compromised credibility so much.
As for the Mexican characters, it makes perfect sense, since "the new Sarah" is Mexican, so they found an actor ethnically compatible with Mexico (the bad terminator), precisely because the "new Skynet" knew where their target would be, and tried to make it as convincing as possible, so that he can disguise himself among civilians, something that would not happen so easily if the exterminator had a Nordic phenotype (for example), which is unusual in mexico, and would culminate in the individual having the appearance of a "gringo" and calling attention, everything that the Legion wants to avoid, as he tries to be as disguised as possible among the crowd.
People are irritated by the film without reason, I don't see why so many complaints, this film was worthy of belonging to the exterminator series. Unlike Genesys that tried to innovate and ended up being generic, the dark fate terminator managed to innovate, bring something new, and keep the essence of the old.
I found the story very well constructed, innovative, and the characters and the story compelling. The film surprised me, as I did not expect to see such a good film on the basis of such bad grades. I believe that most negative reviews are wrong, I don't understand why they think a movie like this is so bad.
The only part I didn't like so much was the plane scene, which conveniently fell into the hoover dam, and ignoring some laws of physics, not to mention surviving water pressure and a drop of tens of meters, but let's face it, this is a film franchise where a robot from the future goes back in time to kill a leader of human resistance, so we can elevate suspension of disbelief a little.
In addition, the villain is really dangerous, being the best exterminator ever made, extremely intelligent and effective, unlike Terminator Genysis, where they kill several exterminators as if it were a joke.
The ending is pretty good, making a clear reference to the end of terminator 2 where Sarah Connor is in the park watching the kids play after they beat Skynet.
And this film is one of the most underrated films I have ever seen, it deserved at least a score of 7 here , it is not fair what the "critics" are doing with a film as well built as this.
10
Exterminadores do Além Contra a Loira do Banheiro (2018)
Made to be trash
I don't know why users rated IMDB so badly, the film is intentionally bad, trash film, that makes it funny, the fact that nothing makes sense and everything is exaggerated.
Note 10, the film is very funny and I had a lot of fun watching it.
Red Dawn (1984)
A group of teenagers without any military training defeats hundreds of well-trained soldiers and elite forces.
A group of teenagers without any military training defeats hundreds of well-trained soldiers and elite forces, who conveniently fall into all ambushes where wolverines always know where the enemy will be and when they will be.
Although the background is very good and realistic (even better than the remake), the story makes no sense at all.
I give 5 because I like the movie, but I can't forgive too many errors.
Happy Death Day 2 U (2019)
Better than the first
I do not understand why this movie has such a low and lower rating than the first one, the movie explains what the first one did not explain, and has a well-developed plot, it's just great! I do not know why people gave such low scores, I would score 10, but I did not really like the end, so 8.
Don't Breathe: Man In The Dark (2016)
Good movie
I liked the movie, I think it's good, it's not like those generic horror movies that are there every week they launch an equal, it's not predictable, and it has a good ending.
I was in doubt about which note to give, it's not the best movie I've ever seen, but I found it very good anyway. 10.
The Predator (2018)
The end of the predator franchise
This movie is simply the worst movie in the alien and predator universe I've ever seen, exaggerated and fool humor destroying any seriousness of the narrative, an autistic boy learning alien languages (wtf), new and meaningless elements introduced into this nut-like universe, It's simply one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
The Vietnam War (2017)
The most complete series of the Vietnam War
Without a shadow of a doubt the best series about the Vietnam War I've seen in my life. I have seen many movies, series, and articles on the Vietnam War, but this series was so complete that I learned things I did not even imagine had happened, and for the most part, not to mention almost all of my questions about this conflict were answered
Childhood's End (2015)
What happens if we stop fighting.
This is what a song from the band "Ultima frontiera" defined well, slave of freedom. It is also said in Mussolini's book "The Doctrine of Fascism" that the human being must have a life based on duty, have purposes, and not only grow fat like pigs and live from pleasure.
In this series it was shown what happened to humanity when we became weak, we abandoned our nature of conflicts and constant struggle for a utopia, we exchanged our freedom and sovereignty for a life without obstacles, a world in which the human ceased to be human , where science was no longer important because we had no problem to solve, where fighting lost meaning because there were no more reasons for this. Thus, the human being ceased to be human, we became pigs in fattening waiting for slaughter, and we paid the price for being so submissive, passive, and think that life is reduced to living of own pleasures without sacrificing for a greater good , the price was the extinction of our species.
If man had stayed in paradise he would have rotted, what makes a man strong is not to live in a perfect world, but rather our daily struggle to achieve perfection is an endless path, but if we stop walking, everything loses its meaning.
The day these aliens came to tell us how we should live should have been the day our armies banished them forever from the planet, better to die standing than to live on our knees.
But now speaking of criticism, the ending does not make sense, why the hell did they travel from planet to planet, abduct all childhood and then kill the planet? Much was confused and poorly explained, the series had a bad and meaningless ending.
Extinction (2018)
An incredible movie
I really liked the movie, it starts with a suspense, leaves us curious and wanting answers, which are explained later with time. The explanations are plausible, the idea of ??the film makes sense, and all doubts are resolved in the end. They use this extermination strategy because they want the planet intact, they just want to eliminate the machines that took over.
The movie has suspense, it has well done action scenes, and a very clever premise, which gradually presents itself through small clues until it is revealed. In the case, it is the only film of the genre that I have seen explore this premise of the human being being the alien, and unlike Avatar who enters this context, in this film there are no victims and aggressors, neither side is right or wrong, both sides have done things terrible, and right in their perspective, because the half robot inhabitants of the earth just want to survive, while humans want to take over their planet. The premise is innovative, and the way it is developed and gradually responded to, in order to surprise us is great. I give 10 for this film, one of the best I ve ever seen, I believe that people who did not like the film really could not immerse themselves in the context of the story and see the message that has passed.
Rakka (2017)
The Best movie ever
Simply the BEST movie I've ever seen about alien invasion. Please, make a full movie!
Skyline (2010)
Ehh +-
SPOILER: The movie itself is good, I did not like the main actress, it did not seem charismatic, and it got annoying, the ending is completely meaningless, and this is what harms the movie. An alien invasion, facing military, so far everything ok, but then the aliens kidnap the main character and turn him into a monster? Serious?
Geostorm (2017)
Good
The villain's motivation is totally meaningless, and I believe he had some political purpose to indirectly attack Trump's campaign, but apart from that, I liked the movie, it's good.
The 5th Wave (2016)
A film that made me high expectations, but nothing more.
I was with much anticipation when I went to see this movie, but my expectation died. The film is simply bad, has a very bad story developed that looks more like a TV series than a movie, a TV series that had to be shortened in a two-hour movie, in other words, a disaster. The story itself does not make sense and there are many explanations, I could do more criticism, but in order to spare the readers of spoilers, I will not do it. In conclusion, the movie would be much better if it were a series, and had several changes in the script, it looks like it was done in a hurry, the initial idea of the film is very good, but it was extremely poorly developed, as well as the drama of the film.
