Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Snyder Cut Review!
9/10. This movie is one of the greatest DC movies of them all. It heavily improves the 2017 theatrical cut and while the structure remains the same, the development of the story is so much more here. The character stories are more richer with Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman but especially Flash and Cyborg. There's action, story, humour and love places in this movie and all who worked upon this movie as well as those who fought for its rise should be proud!
The reason I give 9/10 is purely that some of the scenes could have been worked on a little more is all, but every fan should see this movie. I never took breaks at all because I purely could not stop!
I do hope that Snyder is able to continue his trilogy, I realise that the movies have taken a different direction but maybe in a nightmare elseworld universe or a slightly different story to involve the changes I.e: Shazam, Aquaman, Birds of Prey etc.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Victory and Death (2020)
The End of an Era
What can I say? This episode is emotional and action packed from beginning to the very end. I think the only scene that I feel compelled to discuss is the Vader scene, when he discovers Ahsoka's lightsaber hidden under the snow and then sees her bird from Rebels in the air floating. I think at the end, Vader finding that saber, it was almost an apology to Ahsoka because he thought she had died and she had nothing to do with the Jedi Order, if anything she opposed its hypocritical ways. So while I am sad and heartbroken this is the end, I am thrilled that we say a definitive end to a series with so much devotion. Thank you Dave Filoni!
Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
Review
This movie was overall an improvement as Spider Man feels more sure of himself and his abilities, and Peter and MJ progress beautifully and Mysterio is a simple yet great villain. Although the Nick Fury scenes could've been improved, therefore 9/10.
Sex Education (2019)
Review
I started this show last night. I finished it this afternoon. This show is fantastic but what's especially fantastic is the scene in Episode 7, the speech after 40 mins of the ep, Otis's speech about people liking each other and the other not feeling the same. This spoke to me. It's something probably most people, even me have felt. I've felt it and this spoke to me because of how real it felt to see this scene, like looking at myself. This show is great, emotional and capturing because it's based on real life, not fantasy, reality. That's what's great about it. What do you think?
Gotham: Legend of the Dark Knight: Trespassers (2019)
Review
This is episode is exciting and interesting because of how they are developing Bruce more into Batman in ways of deception and manipulation, how Gordon and Barbara are kinda rekindling and the other gangs. The only thing that bugs me is the Nygma storyline. Other than that, it's too notch.
Aquaman (2018)
Aquaman Review!!!
Aquaman was a stunning suprise with a cohesive and easily understandable story line and brilliant cast members which defy expectations held even by myself ever since I saw the very first trailer back in July. I knew that visually it would be a joy ride but everything was just awesome to watch and I do not get criticisms made about the octopus playing the drums and the comparisons to Thor. It may be slight similar, but if you just look at basic comparisons between movies that criticism could be universal. Plus In Ant Man 2 there was an Ant playing the drums yet Octopus is where you draw the line.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Solo Review
Overall this is a great movie. It does have its issue like all other movies but it is a great movie because of the scenes, the actors and that awesome cameo at the end of the movie. People expecting Han Solo to be Han Solo straight away miss the concept of an origin story.
Justice League (2017)
Excellent as hell!
Honestly I don't see the reason why many critics including Rotten Tomatoes and other IMDb users see Justice League as mediocre, I saw it today and thought that my dream has come true, the League have united, and all the haters seem to do is say is " the CGI is bad" or that the villain is weak, yes on some level these comments are true, however the CGI isn't really a problem, the villain is OK, and this movie is incredible, and the fact some critics discard this movie illustrates to me that they have not considered the overall creativity within this movie, they have gone into this movie with an opinion already in mind instead of looking at the movie. There are scenes that feel rushed but please I urge you to not blame the movie, it was requested to decrease the amount of run-time by Warner Brothers, it is truly a great movie and go into it with an open mind.
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
It was OK, however it does not have an original storyline.
DOES CONTAIN SPOILERS!Star Wars: Force Awakens was OK when went to see it, however there were some obvious elements from the original trilogy brought in for instance: the mentor type character being killed by a familiar face, a "son", this is a link between Obi-Wan and Anakin because as said in Attack Of The Clones Anakin considered Obi-Wan as his father, and Obi-Wan was struck down by his former apprentice, as Han Solo was by his son Kylo Ren. In addition the obvious copy from Star Wars 1977 brought into Force Awakens was that there was as said in the movie itself "it's another Death Star". Also the planet Tatooine has been renamed Jakku and the R2-D2 character has been replaced by BB-8. With all these facts there are some good points to the movie itself like the practical backgrounds instead of using CGI, which in fact was one of the main issues people had with the prequels. My final point is that I think that this movie tried to disregard the prequels because there were no references that I had seen within Force Awakens which I think was not the best of choices film makers could of made. Overall it was OK but needs to make a more original storyline.
