Thriller but poor dialog
21 July 2022
I kept with this to the end and then WTF? Over all, a good thriller, but I could have written better dialog. If you like Ray Liotta, this is for you. Christian Slater is pretty good, a different role from his norm. Stick with it until the end, and see what you think..

I held my breath!

Well done film about the cost of war. The acting is great, with Helen Mirren and Alan Rickman playing the British leads. This will make you think about collateral damage.

A must see for foodies everywhere

This is a fun movie to watch, about the making of hummus in various places, in different ways by different people. I want to run in the kitchen and whip up a a batch right now! If you love food, love to cook, love Hummus, this is a good movie for you.

Treat Williams deserved a Emmy in my opinion
3 September 2021
Now that I have a family member with Dementia, I think he played this role perfectly. I wish all my family members could see this episode and see how much our member is behaves like this. I don't know how he prepared for the roll, but I though he was great. I have new repect for his talent. I recoment this episode foe anyone who has a friend or family member who was recently diagnosed with this crippling illness.

Couldn't finish this movie, and I love the stars
3 March 2020
I love Salsa music, and I really loved the thought of these two stars being in this together. I am an older person but not too much of a prude or at least I didn't think so. I really wanted to know about this Latino artist who I knew nothing about. I could not get past the constant barrage of bad language. Is this really the way this culture speaks to each other or was it for effect? I tried to tune the words out and just enjoy the music but I could not. Maybe the soundtrack would be more to my sensitive ears LOL! If you can take the $%%^ and the@#%^ then enjoy the music and the acting. Ms. Lopez claims this was her favorite movie up until this time that she made. Give me Selena!

Interesting Insight into Family Life
11 May 2019
This is from 1983 and while very interesting, I would love to see an update about this family. They lived at the time in rural? AZ, and grew their own corn, lived in primitive huts, raised goats or sheep, the grandma dyes her own wool and weave rugs on a loom hung from a tree. It would be nice to see if the grandchildren continued the traditions.

An Interesting Thriller of Sorts
5 July 2015
I saw this film at a local film festival consisting of films of local interest, that is, films that were shot locally, or filmed by local film makers, or that had local actors in them etc. This film caught my interest because it was filmed in Oklahoma but looked like it was filmed in international locations. After viewing the film, we had a Q&A session with some of the actors and film makers. It was very interesting! As for the film itself, I found myself squirming, yelping out loud at some points, on the edge of my seat, a place I haven't found myself at a movie in a long time. I believe the film was reworked a bit after our viewing, because it wasn't released for a while after we saw it at this festival. I will say this, I was convinced it was filmed outside of Oklahoma! The actors were very convincing, the scenic places were as well. The story, a religious thriller, was compelling. I can't really tell much about the plot without giving things away. You don't have to be religious to watch it. The basis is this, a couple of young men go off on a mission trip to China, and their childhood friend gives them a gift of 35mm cameras to record their trip. They run into some trouble on their mission trip, and what happens next is most unexpected. Their friend back home in Panama receives a package from them. People are out to get it! This is a story of faith, whether you have it or not. It is worth a viewing. Grab a pillow to twist while you watch!
