Fantastic 3D film

I went to the opening night at the cinema to watch this and it was packed. Going in with the expectation that it may be all hype and i would be disappointed but, I wasn't The 3D experience was great, there was a good character base, a theme of action, adventure, love and sci fi all rolled into one.

The whole movie was flawless and it didn't feel like it dragged on or you couldn't wait for the ending, instead you liked the characters, you loved the Navai and you enjoyed the scope of the movie.

I give the movie a 10 because it was colourful, it was different, it had plot and i enjoyed it.

Well worth the wait.

9 Miles Down (2009)

Having seen the trailer to make sure it was OK, i thought the movie looked quite good delivering a story that contained a little horror, drama and mystery all rolled in to one.

There is nothing bad about the acting or the idea behind the story. It was just that the plot was weak and confusing at times (for me at least).

If you are looking for something that will scare you then, you will be disappointed, it may have you wondering at times like the previous comment mentioned as to whether "hell is real, or a state of mind." but that is about all. The characters are just planted in the middle of no where with no introduction as to who they are or what they doing in the sahara.

The howling wind and the sand beating against the facility windows and doors in the first 5 minutes, is probably the most frightening thing about the movie but the rest is just average looking for cheap thrills with peeks at partial nudity at times and the old scary hag routine.

There are however elements of good effects giving you a glimpse as to what could have been if it had been thought about more but instead you are left feeling a bit disappointed knowing there was so much more scope to the storyline and the female character at the end.

I am an avid horror fan and love finding a good movie amongst the bad ones and boy, was this a bad one!! If you have read a good review on this they are lying to you. The acting in this was the pits, i am all for giving the characters a chance but they are so wooden it is unbelievable. With a tiny cast the actors are regurgitated throughout the movies anthologies in different roles showing no depth of script or talent.

The stories are weak which is a shame, jumping on the bandwagon of the likes of creepshow and tales from the crypt of being tongue in cheek but there is no plot, no storyline and most of all made no sense.

So don't waste an hour and a half of your life only to be left feeling disappointed and robbed.
