The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Beautifully fu#ked
You cannot turn a great episode into a classic film. Some great performances and reflections from the show.. just doesn't hit home.
The legend of Dickie moltisanti and connection to the series is sentimental, and nearly connecting. However I'd rather see this as a prequel mini series and give it justice or a few hours. The actors, and story were just brilliant. It just didn't bring it home for me.
Rushed and lovely so I'd give it 2.5 gabagools out of 5.
Scream (2022)
Rubbish
This is just awful. Horrible acting (no surprise there with David Arquette). I couldn't watch the whole film. I would highly recommend giving this a miss.
Studio 666 (2022)
Stupidly fun
This is for people with a sense of humour. Bad acting, enjoying music and a man excellent take on any classic slasher/poltergeist film.
If you want to relax, laugh and not think. This is brilliant. I love they make movies like this. The production is excellent for a satire. Worth a couple beers with your mates.
Antebellum (2020)
Unroginal & weak direction
The start was strong and somewhat interesting... then it completely turns into another film. Switching back and forth and losing interest by the moment I found myself already looking for another movie to watch about halfway through.
There's feeble attempts to touch in the BLM movement as some sort of political statement all the while riding on the coat tails of films who have successfully captured that time period and the hardships of slavery (12 years a slave, Django come to mind).
It was disappointing to say the least and there is basically no element of horror m, I'd barely call this a thriller.
4/10 and most of that score is because the production is actually done quite well...Shane about the talent, script and direction it could have been ok or even good!
Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Poorly casted, misdirected, cringey
The previews were the best part. I was so disappointed, if you want a B grade 80s cop flick with no originality - watch away.
Chris rock is painful. Sammy J must need the coin, im disappointed he'd want a credit next to his name for this.
Crisis (2021)
If farts could be a movie...
This is what you'd get. All the gear and no idea. Even hungover and generally if the remote is slightly out of reach I'd sit through the most painful films. But this one I had to get up off the couch and pick the remote up from the other end.. easily a 4/10
Cheers for comin.
Mob Town (2019)
Boring and poorly executed
This has such potential but hopeless writing, laughable acting and poor direction make this embarrassing to watch. Plus it has David Arquette in it 😂
Capsized: Blood in the Water (2019)
Garbage
A boring poorly acted waste of time. Pointless putting the film on, even to kill time
