A Dark Foe (2020)
Don't believe the high rating!! Stay away!
Let me save you 2 hours of your life. Don't watch this movie. I can't believe I wasted my time on this and believed the fake reviews. The acting is absolutely terrible and the story is an entangled mess. Don't bother.
Sex/Life (2021)
Don't listen to the hate.. WATCH IT
Please don't listen to the low rating reviews and watch the show. I laugh at the reviews where people are saying that it's no wonder people get divorced after watching this (?!) I think it's normal to take a look at your life at one point or another, are you where you want to be? Are the person you're with the right one for you? It's an interesting and complex dilemma a lot of people can relate to (especially if you have someone who "got away"). It's not about giving up or running away from your responsibilities, but to question; can you really have it all?
It's not 10/10, but I really liked it and binged the whole season. It kept me going back and forth on who I was rooting for.
And for everyone surprised at the amount of sex in this show, it's in the title...
Ju-on: Origins (2020)
Confusing
I was actually looking forward to this show being a fan of horror movies and the franchise, but found myself loosing interest pretty quickly. I was trying to keep up with all the timelines, but the jumping back and forth with flashback and years in each episode got a bit confusing. I didn't find it that scary either and would say it's more of a crime show with some horror in it.
If you would like to watch it I recommend you really pay attention when watching this show.
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020)
Light fun. Enjoyable
I didn't know if I would like this movie. As an European and someone who has watched a lot of Eurovision without being a hard core fan, I kind of liked it. I appreciated they used a good amount of Icelandic actors, I enjoyed the musical part of it and all the silliness that is Eurovision in itself. I didn't real mind the accents either and I thought Rachel Adams was great. If you enjoy Eurovision and just want to watch some light fun I would recommend this.
21 Bridges (2019)
Predicable
I was hoping this was going to be a decent cop-thriller movie due to the reviews and rating... Oh, I was wrong. The amount of cheesy-heroic camera shots and lines were too much for me. It doesn't feel real. You could also pretty much predict what's going to happen, who is the bad guys and the ending. I give it 4 stars due that it wasn't unwatchable, the scenery and camerawork was quite good and the fight scenes were decent, but I wouldn't watch it again.
Long Shot (2019)
Don't waste your time...
I don't understand the rating of this movie and all the 10/10 reviews?? This movie is unfunny and unrealistic. Seth Rogen plays the same character he always does. He is this vulgar, hobo-looking, "down-to-earth" journalist who was childhood friends with Charlize (secretary of state) and somehow gets hired by her. Their journey together is more or less cringe-worthy. There is no chemistry between them, bad jokes, unnecessary f-bombs everywhere. Please don't believe the good reviews or the rating of this movie.
