Reptile (2023)

Loved this movie

I thought great cast, so I would give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! The movie harkens back to the days of intriguing cop murder mysteries. As opposed to the ever present cookie cutter crap we see streaming everywhere.

It kept me guessing and had some interesting twist a turns.

Definitely a well developed story, although I had to stretch my imagination to figure out what may have happened at a couple of points. But those were minor points in the story. These were characters I'd like to see in a follow up movie.

I have to admit, the title threw me off, I was expecting the killer to be some reptilian man.

The Little Mermaid (I) (2023)

Great film adaptation!

Love it more than I thought I would. The cast and animation were great. Halle Bailey did a good job as the Little Mermaid and her performance simply quashed the doubters.

The soundtrack was top notch, as was to be expected.

Melissa McCarthy, as always, was spot on with her performance.

So it seems Disney succeeded in bringing the animated story to life. I see it as a great time for everyone --- families, and just anyone that enjoyed the original animated film or just wants to get away from reality for a bit.

I'm not sure why the box office numbers are not reflecting how good this film. That is my only disappointment.

Riches (2022)

Great show!

Thought I'd "give it a go" and was instantly hooked! Although not original, it's a great storyline done very well! Nice twists and turns, executed to perfection!

The cast is terrific, hands down one of the better ensembles on Prime and in the stream-verse. The performances were like butter, smooth and well executed. The writing was good and production value was exquisite, higher than I expected.

I hope Amazon brings this show back for multiple seasons! I find it difficult to pin down good shows that keep me engaged, this one certainly did.

El Rey, Vicente Fernández (2022– )

Great series!

As a longtime Vicente Fernández Gomez fan, I was happy to see this series was released! My mom and I enjoyed his movies over the many decades. I wish she were still here to enjoy it with me.

His music is still relevant today and can be heard played in many places.

The series is a good look into the struggles, hardships and tragedies the family faced

The cast was great, I enjoyed the performances! Good to see many new faces and a few familiar ones.

Is it perfect, no, but what can be perfect when depicting a bigger than life star?

I appreciate the effort and enjoyed the series. Thank you Netflix.

Fun show with a great cast!! Fantastic show for families or solo watchers :-)) Looking forward to the upcoming episodes.

For what it is, It's a good action movie. Not sure what some of the negative reviewers where expecting.... Shakespeare in the park?

I wish it had done better, so we could see other characters developed!

Nice change having drag performers actually sing! Don't agree with the elimination round eliminations, but it was a great season. Hope it comes back for more seasons.

This movie was fun, great cast and story! Nice update and continuation of the original movie.

Was also great to see the old gang again!

Would recommend, AND be sure to stay for the post credit stuff.
