The First: Two Portraits (2018)
Best episode yet
Without a doubt the best episode of The First I have seen so far. Very clever imagery, and very fitting and subtle score, and a very powerful episode.
With highs and lows, and a contrasting tone to the previous episodes.
I have to say I am enjoying The First very much
This Is the End (2013)
Hilarious.
I have just got home from watching This is the End. All I can say is wow. The whole film has brilliant humour in, even in the more dramatic scenes. The cast is full of big names, who all work well together. The story line is gripping and has suspense and mystery, and is also quite thought provoking in parts. The comedy is Seth Rogen at his best, with hilarious performances from the rest of the cast. I would definitely recommend this film to anyone who wants to laugh the whole way through a film. I would also recommend this film to any fan of Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Jay Beruchel, Danny McBride, James Franco and Craig Robinson. Just an overall laugh and a great watch.
X: First Class (2011)
A breath of fresh air for X-Men fans
I have been a fan of many Marvel comics and films over the years. One particular franchise with promise was X-Men. With many different heroes and villains within the comic franchise itself, this gives film makers a lot to work with. As seen with the other instalments, this has been reflected through the introduction of new characters including villains, and different plots. X-Men: First Class is a brilliant insight to where it all began, and how the modern day X-Men came to be. This film has everything, action, drama, suspense and even bits of comedy. Coupled with brilliant effects and terrific acting, it is a good film for all audiences. This film is a must see for any Marvel comics fan.
Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)
Great watch
I was a little sceptical about the new Star Trek installments as I hadn't seen much of the TV series. However I was pleasantly surprised after watching the two latest installments. The story lines weren't difficult to follow but were gripping at the same time. There was humour and jokes in certain places that were well timed and kept pace with the action. The visual effects were spectacular. The role of Spock was portrayed brilliantly. Bennedict Cumberbach also added an element of mystery to the film. My only criticism is that it had to end! I would definitely recommend watching this film. Overall, great film, great action, a brilliant watch.
