Dragon Heat (2005)

An action movie that tries to invoke tears
12 November 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I just watched this movie last night and i came out of the theatre with mixed feelings.

As the summary says, this was an action movie that tried to squeeze tears out of almost every single character, which i think was done so that we the audience would feel that the movie was realistic.

The action sequences are quite good and well choreographed and so its kudos to the movie for that. Its just that perhaps the crying scenes were a bit over done.

The ending of the movie was also something i could not comprehend..hence the lower vote that i gave the movie. All in all though its quite a good action movie and quite a stellar cast(at least in my opinion)

Jersey Girl (2004)

Heartwarming and yet entertaining

This is a Kevin Smith movie which doesn't exactly resemble a Kevin Smith movie, but i still enjoyed it nonetheless.

The plot was kept simple but the dialogs were well scripted and hence brought feeling to the movie.Quite a coup in fact that Kevin Smith managed to get the beautiful Liv Tyler to act in the show, which she adds a sense of aestheticism to besides her good singing in one part of the show.

Raquel Castro was also very adorable and she made me laugh at her cute moments and cry at her sad moments.

All in all a good show to watch with your other half too.Sure hope to see Kevin Smith not shy away from experimenting with this kind of show in the future.
