Not quite like the one from 2003, but decent
22 February 2022
I wish there was some nudity... also main actresses could have been hotter, like Jessica Biel was. After all, it is a no brain horror movie.

Otherwise a solid atmospheric horror for one-time watch.

Couldn't finish the first episode
1 March 2021
They made our exact replicas, called "synths", yet people are still driving the same cars as we do today, manually!! The same clothing style, same architecture, same furniture...

The show needed a bigger budget to be more believable and more bravery, not to aim for the PG rating. A guy enters a brothel full of synths and as expected there is zero nudity.

Acting also sucks and some people are total miscast.

OK night-time movie
15 May 2020
If you are a horror/mistery movies fan, you will find this one enjoyable. The plot makes sense, the ending is OK. You will also see why Sisto never got better roles... there are just two short scenes where he is suppose to be more emotional or sad, and his acting is atrocious.

A cute movie for kids

Jim Carey's performance makes it enjoyable for adults too, his dance in the truck was hilarious.

Who gives fake 1 star ratings? WTF??
29 December 2019
The movie was decent. Great acting and a simple, yet captivating story. This is how you do a small budget movie.

Just check the 1 star reviewers, that is their only review, and even the writing is same "the real victim is viewer". WTF???

Now productions are trashing competitors small budget movies...? That is so low.

Metal forks and knives for inmates, how stupid you should be...
2 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
...to make a movie like that.

MINIMUM SPOILERS

There were some CGIs which were bad even for the 2002.

But when they served inmates (who are killers, etc.) meals on metal plates, with metal knives and metal forks in their cell, I had almost stopped watching.

I mean how both the director and the guys who wrote the script were not smart enough to spot this detail and overlooked it.

The rest of the movie was so-so, if you are into horror movies give it a try but don't expect nothing special.

This movie does sucks that much, honestly
23 July 2017
I didn't quit watching a movie for a long time, but I quit watching this one after 15 minutes. Both the director and the writer should look for another job. The movie starts so stupid that it dumbed my IQ by at least half in a record time.

Everything looks bad; the riot in a prison for example... I have seen more believable girl fights than the fight of those inmates. Dialogues are painful to listen... one criminal telling to another things like "I trust you always". Robbing a bank looked like they are going to rob a candy store, and after the cops showed up, the driver didn't even bother to tell that information to the guys inside.

Stupid movie... avoid like a plague!

What a garbage... hyped with fake reviews/rating
15 May 2017
They are alone in the middle of nowhere and they found a dead body, yet the characters always manage to surprise me with making the stupidest decisions possible. - Script is atrocious, written from a guy who should not write scripts for commercials. - It is not even so bad to be good, even though some of the irrational character's decisions made me laugh, I was mostly annoyed. - AVOID LIKE A PLAGUE.

A pleasant surprise
18 June 2016
I had an amazing time watching this noir film at a film festival in my city. They don't make movie's like this one anymore. I liked everything in it: the plot is slightly complicated, but compelling; the characters are portrayed beautifully, by both some recognizable actors and the unknown ones; there is a Tesla angle in the story which makes me even more like the movie because I am a Serbian :) (Tesla was a Serbian too BTW); the movie leaves it up to the audience to fill in the gaps, so I guess that is the reason why some people won't like it as much as I did. I highly recommend the movie to all the detective/mystery genre fans, give it a chance, you won't be disappointed!

A pleasant surprise
4 June 2016
I honestly got tired of the Hollywood blockbusters and decided to give Bunny a chance. I had the pleasure of seeing it at a local festival, and both my girlfriend and I, liked it very much! The movie has a little bit of everything for everyone, it is basically a romance, but with some extremely funny and hilarious scenes. The plot is clever and unpredictable, with the characters who are nicely developed and likable. All the actors were previously unknown to me, but they did an outstanding job playing their roles and made this movie even greater. I would totally recommend the movie to anyone wanting to watch something different, enjoy in its relaxing atmosphere and have some laughs. 9 stars from me !!!

Such a gem of a movie
12 May 2016
I liked the trailer of the movie (which reminded me a little bit of Borat's misadventures in Kazakhstan), and decided to give it a chance. If you like a comedy horror with smart jokes and not just mindless killing, you will LOVE this movie. The script is cleverly written, with a funny story, that gave me so many laughs. Actors are unknown to me, but they did an amazing job portraying their characters. Even the "villagers" looked credible in their roles. The movie was shoot in Moldova so you will be able to see some authentic Eastern European scenery. Don't take the movie too seriously and you will have a great time watching it. I give it a well-deserved 9 star rating.

Loved the music
7 May 2016
There should be more short movies like this! It relaxed me and revoked some of my childhood memories when I fantasized about becoming a musician. Atmosphere in the scenes is intimate and you feel like you are in the room with Gabby while she plays. Music in the movie is beautiful to hear and I only wish it was a little longer. The girl who portrayed Gaby is very charming and talented, and even though her role was not very demanding, her acting is good and I would definitely love to see some of her future work. I give this movie an 8 star rating and I hope the director Annette Prieto will keep making movies like this one!

Pali Road (2015)

This is such a gem of a movie
11 March 2016
Pali Road is an exceptional romantic psycho thriller, that will hold your attention through to the end, but also leaving you scratching your head. It is about a woman who wakes up in a completely different life, after a car accident, and no one around her (not even her parents) remembers the details about her "original" life, nor her real boyfriend. Lilly will have to question her sanity and her feelings in order to reveal the truth. These actors were relatively unknown to me but I was amazed by Michelle Chen's performance. She did a great job in portraying Lilly and the rest of the crew did a decent job too. The script is cleverly written and the story is easy to follow. I highly enjoyed watching this movie and I give it a high recommendation.

The Tragic Loss
23 February 2016
Saved by Grace is a movie that takes people into the life of a man named Rick who is in a rather dark place after the death of his wife. During this time when Rick is about to do something he will surely regret a woman named Grace comes into the picture. There are many good things to be said about this movie like the fact that it gets a lot of points for originality. Most of the mainstream movies that people see these days are practically copies of ideas that have been used and recycled over and over again. The portion of the movie where the song called There You Are, is played serves as a type of theme song in this film. I may not be a musician but this song is probably on the list of the top ten I have ever heard. Johnny Remo certainly sets the bar for other filmmakers as Saved by Grace is one of those rare films that has a faith aspect and is also entertaining in the drama sense. This film is also great for families to watch because it would make them appreciate what they have, or it would help them relate if they lost someone in their life. With the natural talent that Catalina Rodriguez and Joey Lawrence have for acting they will be able to book many more fantastic films. This movie wouldn't be what it is without it's brilliant cast, and it's finest director Johnny Remo.

Nice horror flick
20 January 2016
I don't get such a low rating here on IMDb (4.8 at the moment), but I, as a big horror fan, have really enjoyed watching this movie. It is not yet another boring popcorn flick about ghosts, because its story is intriguing and the suspense kept me at the edge of my seat most of the time. The ambiance in the movie is authentic, really creepy and it gave me some decent scares. Acting is overall passable, but I must mention the great performance by Louisa Krause, who was relatively unknown to me. I recommend it to the audience who knows to appreciate the horror and mystery genre, maybe this movie is not a masterpiece, but it is most certainly very entertaining.

Hursit (2015)

Loved it !
6 January 2016
I watched Hursit at a short movies festival and it caught my attention because it was different than the others. It explores a very important subject about the discrimination (both ethnic and religious) from a perspective of a child. Hursit is a Turkish boy who lives with his mother and a disabled brother, and attends a religious school. In the religious school he is taught real moral values about tolerance and that all men are equal in the eyes of God. However in reality the situation is different, because adult people are full of prejudices and discrimination. There's a strong message of tolerance in the movie and that is why I loved it. I give it my warmest recommendations and 10 stars!

Seahorses (I) (2014)

A good one
23 December 2015
I love watching low budget indie films because they often tend to have a much better story and acting, than most of the Hollywood blockbusters, and this movie was one of them. It is a dark romantic drama centering Martin (a lonely weirdo) and Lauren (yet another weirdo) who were on a first date. Martin then takes Lauren to his place after which she locks herself in the bathroom and their unusual relationship begins to develop. There are not many characters here so the main pressure was on the lead roles, and even though relatively unknown, both Justine Wachsberger and Ian Hutton did an amazing job. Their acting is SUPERB and I could really feel the strong chemistry between them. There were some nice aquatic scenes and I suppose the movie is called "Seahorses" because they are fragile as the main characters. You'll love it, you'll love the characters, you'll love the story, watch it! I highly recommend it.

Awesome movie!
21 December 2015
As a guy who works online I was looking forward to watching this documentary and listening other online entrepreneurs. They spoke from their own experience and talked about their way of finding success in a world where unemployment has become a chronic condition. This movie is highly motivational and that is not all, there is plenty of useful info for both someone who is completely new and someone who is already earning online. The most difficult part for me, in being my own boss, is feeling under pressure with every new project. Here I learned some good strategies on how to remain optimistic, even when facing failure. When it comes to working and traveling I must agree with the guy who said that he likes to finish most of the job before taking a trip. Because every time I change the environment I lose a little bit of my focus and feel distracted. This movie will motivated many people to take action and I would recommend it to everyone!

Nice motivational short movie
18 November 2015
I love short movies because they can sometimes send a very strong message but not take too much of your time, and this movie is one of them. I have recently watched it with my parents and we really liked it, even though my parents didn't understand the words. It was very inspirational with some nice scenes of nature and art, while the background music was relaxing and just perfect for the ambiance. The movie basically praises life and motivates the viewers to think positively. Watching it made me feel better and I recommend it to anyone. Time well spent! P.S. I just wonder, which city is in the movie!?

Ten (2014)
8/10
Non-common horror flick
3 September 2015
I love horrors and small budget independent movies in this genre, because I often find decent ones with very original plots. Ten is one of such movies! It is not a standard horror flick, and with elements of thriller and drama, its story is deeper than you'd expect. It explores personalities of ten women, with completely different personalities, in a stressful situation. In a way, their characters are sometimes overacting, so acting is not superb as some reviewers would like, but only because it is not meant to be superb. The viewer should examine the subtext and themes behind the story lines to truly understand and appreciate the movie. I liked it and give it a score of 8/10!

Amazing short movie!!!
13 July 2015
I much enjoyed watching Leeches because it explains such a serious social problem (human trafficking) in a very interesting way. It is not only a third world problem anymore, I am living in Europe and there are news almost everyday about people who were victims of human trafficking in my country. It is basically a modern day slavery, movie portrays Eren, a guy with deep family values who is involved into this illegal activities. It is not always black and white in life, and movie gives a certain human touch to the "villain" in the movie (Eren). Acting of the main character is superb, while he is completely unknown to me, guy has some serious acting skills. The rest of the actors also did a decent job. Story of the movie is well-written holds attention to the very end. I give it a score 9/10!

A great horror - thriller!
6 July 2015
I am a horror movie fan so I am not an easy audience to please and this movie exceeded my expectations. Story is about a girl, who is kidnapped by a sexual predator, and refuses to be one of his victims. She manages to break free and starts saving other girls captured by the same man. Directing is very good and the storyline is easy to follow. There were some scary moments in the movie and suspension is also OK. The movie is not predictable like many others from the same genre. The girl (Tina) who is playing Eve, not only that she is smoking hot, but also has some serious acting skills. She is very talented and I would definitely love that Hollywood gives her a chance. Great horror flick, I give it a 8/10 score!

Emotional for all of those who have lived in Serbia in the 90's
17 June 2015
He who didn't cry sever times during the movie and after it, was not in Serbia in the 90's. Wonderful movie, it brings back the memories, all those futile battles that were suppose to mean something for a better future but didn't. Wonderful performances by both Todorovic and Lecic. If Lecic was an USA actor I am sure he would be world wide famous. One his other masterpiece I remember is "Three Tickets to Hollywood", but in my opinion he didn't shoot enough of the good movies. Serbian cinematography is too small for such great actors. But even if you are a foreigner, you will like the movie. Plot and events that where happening in the Serbia during the movie are well explained so you will be able to figure everything out. I recommend it to anyone. If I have to put a genre on it, I would say that this is a brilliant dark historical drama with a few hilarious jokes that make the movie easier to watch.

Sad little movie
12 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This movie begins with brother's and sister's final talk before he is recruited by US army marines. His girlfriend is also pregnant, he is about to become a father, and if he dies in a battle nothing will ever be the same for those people. After a long talk and sister's tears, he promises that one day he'll return and that he will be there when she graduates. But unfortunately he couldn't keep the promise! Now when her brother is gone, little girl graduated without him by her side, without him to give her life advice, and she is completely lost. Now she is making a big life mistake of joining the US army voluntarily, probably feeling that somehow it will get her closer to her brother. I strongly disagree with previous reviewer because movie had nothing to do with "sacrifice" or "serving for the country". This is one sad short movie that describes entire lost generations (like Nikki is), meaningless of war, while there are no winners in war, only losers.

Slide (2014)

Great little movie!
10 June 2015
I watched Slide at the movie festival in my town last month, and it was a very funny short comedy with a lots of sarcastic and intelligent humor, that had me laughing almost non - stop. I would compare it to the Neighbors for example, because there are a lot of awkward comic moments. Actors were not really known to me before watching it, but they did a great job and each one of them is funny in a different way. Also this chick Lyndsey Lantz is smoking hot, too bad she mostly acts in short movies. Plot is about a school board with a few teachers who are deciding should they install a very simple 300$ playground slide in the school area. Everyone have a different stand point and a uniquely ridiculous reason why it shouldn't happen. Script is cleverly written and the whole movie crew did a good job. Watch it, it is only 6 min long, but you'll enjoy it!
