Spirited (2022)
So much fun! GOOD AFTERNOON!
THIS. MOVIE.
I think I assumed this was going to be a predictable adaptation of a classic tale, but boy was I wrong! This movie had just enough twists to keep me interested, but not so much that it was annoying to keep up with.
Ryan Reynolds is, as always, a joy to watch. Funny, sarcastic, and incredibly charming. I wasn't sure how he and the icon Will Ferrell would play together, given they are both such big comedic weapons, but they proved a great pair! So much comedic chemistry, I hope to see them team up again in the future!
Octavia Spencer is a delight, she just warms every scene she in.
The musical numbers are a little cheesy to start with, but once you get into the movie they just work.
I enjoyed this movie from start to finish, don't sleep on this one, kids!
GOOD AFTERNOON 😂
Always Be My Maybe (2019)
Funny and heart warming!
This movie is just what I've been waiting for! Ali Wong is everything!
I got all the warm fuzzy feelings from this flick.
Go and watch it! Off you go!!
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
So many salty reviews.
The season is only half way through and people are complaining at the lack of explanation. Seriously, the writers have just pulled off the biggest plot twist probably ever. There are still 3 massive episodes to come, and I for one do not think we have heard the end of the white walkers or the night king just yet.
There are many loose ends yet to be tied, so why don't you all RELAX and wait until next week 👌🏼
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
Unexpectedly wonderful.
I knew I would be entertained while watching this movie, but I did not expect it to move me in the way that it did.
Powerful acting by Rami Malek (who I'm certain was born to play this part) brought the complex man, Freddie Mercury, back to life. What a gift.
Credit to not just the lead cast, but also to the writers and director for keeping this movie almost completely in the present tense. This is hard to do when telling a story like this, but it has been achieved with such brilliance that it can not go unmentioned.
I could watch this movie again and again.
Thank you.
Outlander: Man of Worth (2019)
An ending with everything
I LOVED this episode! The number of loose ends they managed to tie up and then still leave us on a cliffhanger wanting more? Genius!
I haven't read all of the books but I am aware that some people who have are displeased with this episode and season as a whole. So, to those people I will say this: stop whinging! They've made adjustments where they needed to and if you would open your mind you would see that what they've achieved is some really beautiful story telling. I'm so glad we have this story and these actors to bring it all to life and it saddens me that there is a small group of people being very loud who could potentially threaten the next two seasons.
A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding (2018)
Elephant dart to the face.
Just. So. Bad.
The acting is honestly pathetic. The directing cheesy. The plot is so predictable but also just so lame it nearly made me vomit.
The best part is the sassy little sister Emily.
Grace of Monaco (2014)
Boring. So boring.
This movie has sucked me into watching it twice now and, you guys, I'm mad as hell.
The trailer leads you to believe that it will be this dramatic re-telling, albeit largely fictional, of Grace Kelly's life when all it really depicts is one or two inconvenient situations that she was faced with.
The first time I watched it I was so disappointed and bored by the end but I decided not to review it because I am a Nicole Kidman fan.
But then the unthinkable happened. This movie is so boring that I forgot I'd already seen it before and watched it again only to fall victim to the same torturous boredom AGAIN!
Do you see what I'm saying, it's that boring I forgot about it.
This movie is 1 hour and 43 minutes of stifling yawns and trying to stay awake all while just waiting patiently for it to get even remotely more interesting.
What a let down.
Game of Thrones: The Winds of Winter (2016)
Absolute masterpiece
This episode was outstanding right from the work go. The music was absolutely award-worthy as were the special effects. It was both heartbreaking and epic. Heartbreaking of course to have lost some loved characters in Margaery, Loras and Tommen. But there were so many epic moments that you really forgot how sad that mass murder really was.
Let's start with one of my favourite moments in this episode, Lyanna Mormont putting all those Lords from The North back in their places - that girl is fierce! This scene was really touching to see Jon go from explaining how his family would sit up at the main table and he would always have to sit at the back because he was only a bastard, to now being proclaimed the King in the North! I'll be interested to see whether Sansa really is happy about this, Littlefinger certainly looked unimpressed.
Then there was the exchange between Olenna Tyrell and Ellaria Sand and her daughters. Olenna is actually one of my favourites in this show and I am excited to see that they will be joining Dany and her team of Dothraki, Unsullied, Iron Born and Dragons! So many strong women fighting for the same team!
Young Arya is back in the North, and it would appear she has some spare faces with her in case she wishes to assassinate anyone from her list. I'm so glad she's back and knows who she is now! Also, Walder Frey's death was deeply satisfying!
The scene with the wildfire burning half of King's Landing made me gasp out loud. It was completely shocking to see so many characters go in one moment, but to follow that up with Tommen's suicide was devastating. I believe he knew it was his mother's doing and couldn't stand to face her now. I also think he truly loved Margaery - so sad. The way that Jamie looked at Cersei as she took the Iron Throne was chilling. You don't have to try too hard to imagine what was going through his head at that moment. Loosing his last living child, and seeing that the woman he loves has caused so much devastation.
Daenerys making Tyrion the Hand of the Queen was a beautiful moment, this scene really brought a tear to my eye! Now on to Westeros to take back the Seven Kingdoms!
Now to the reveal we were all waiting for - R+L=J!! I am so excited that this theory proved accurate, it means so much! It means that Ned Stark really was an honourable man to his dying breath, he simply sacrificed his honour to save his Nephew from Robert's wrath. He kept his promise to his Sister and kept Jon's true parentage a secret to keep him safe. It means that Jon is a freaking Targaryen which explains how he can kill Wight Walkers with out the use of Dragon's glass or Valyrian steel. But the difficult part of this theory is that right now Bran is the only one, that we know of, who knows the truth. How will he use this new knowledge? Will he go back to the other side of The Wall and find Jon? Will the mark he got from the Night King break the magic that stops the Wight's from going beyond The Wall?? Arrrrghhhh!!!
And now we wait until 2017.
