The Orville: Ja'loja (2018)
A bit of a dribble, but the spirit is still strong
The Star Trek spirit lives on and is strong. This episode was more of a character development and less about action/scifi stuff we all love. I look forward to many more Orville.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
Razzie 2018
This is the Star Wars equilvalent to Star Trek Nemisis... a franchise killer. If you toss decades of lore out the window you get this.
I would like to nominate this movie for the 2018 Golden Raspberry Award.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
Weak, not Nolan best
Sorry but this installment was weak. I found Ironman 2 better and that only got 71%.
1. Weak villain, under developed, motive was as clear as mud. Let's hurt Batman is not a good enough reason for the massive amount $$$ of effort that they spent on trying the break an already tortured soul. Simple bullet is cheaper and easier. 2. Supporting cast, why have Catwoman-ish character derived from the DC world that has average fighting abilities. I saw another movie with a pink haired 12 year old that could kickass. I though this was a superhero movie. You have $200 plus millions in making this show, get a good stunt double. 3. Lastly the Lazareth pit, Nolan's version is different, OK. Accepted. But no-way will a crippled, bum knee, middle-age man climb out of that. Did he get advance medical help to rehabilitate him?
I'm giving a 7/10, 1% less than Ironman 2, at least that movie had a clear villain with a clear motive.
