Brighty of the Grand Canyon (1966)
Not the best but certainly not the worst
While this movie did contain a few plot holes as mentioned in comments posted before mine (such as animals being sacred but a character in the film hunts mountain lions) I do have to stick up for it. I watched this film as a very young child, and since I was only around the ages of 5 or 6 years, things like the main character attempting to find gold and the Brighty the burro just happened to help him stumble onto some didn't really matter. I understood pretty much the message that the movie was trying to get across was "No good deed goes unpunished". It's not exactly a movie I recommend everyone to see because there is a darkness to the plot, but I have certainly seen much more cheesy films aimed towards kid with really no sort of message.
Queen of the Damned (2002)
should have been a comedy...
I have to admit this isn't the best movie ever, but its also not the worst. Everyone is down on this movie because of the cheesy lines and somewhat bad acting. I think before you watch this movie, don't expect to be scared. Instead get ready for some of the funniest lines and facial expressions ever! I know it wasn't in the film maker's intentions for this to be funny, but it just is. I say if you want a good laugh, and aren't already dead set on hating this movie, you should watch QOTD. Some horror flicks are so bad, one can't make fun of them, but this movie is just great. I also have to add that if you're in to rock music, you should really watch this. The soundtrack is excellent, and original. Hopefully once you get over the fact that this isn't going to be scary, you can enjoy the comical lines performed by stuart townsend and yes, even Aaliyah has some.
Small Fry (1939)
short but sweet
I first watched this movie as a kid, and I thought it was great. I watched it again today and I still loved it. This is a very old cartoon, which by today's standards of what good animation is, lets just say it doesn't score high marks. But I think what really matter is the story, not the quality of the animation. This cartoon is old and it shows, but its a lot better than the stuff kids watch today i.e. pokemon, which has basically the same plot recycled each episode about a thousand times. This cartoon is original and I think it still stands the test of time. No, its not very long, and its kinda hard to find now days, but if you do get a chance to see, I suggest sitting down and watching it. This movie over all is short but sweet.
The Source (2001)
Great movie??
I'm sorry , not only was this movie cheesy, but I couldn't even watch the whole thing!! I ended up fast forwarding to the end. It's not because of the stupid graphics, or the "unknown" actors(David Anders is in this, and many people who watch television I'm sure have heard of him.) The plot was ridiculous along with some (not all) of the actor's performances. The story actually began kinda interesting, but then quickly fell apart. Maybe this movie started out with good intentions, but in the end it leaves the audience disappointed. My advice is to only watch this movie if A:You're being forced and have no choice, or B: You've seen every movie out there except this one. I still say skip it.
