The fog of this film made it difficult to see the point.

I you like happy endings then this film is not for you. The one thing nice about this film is that it is NOT generic and has a unique story to tell. Jennifer Connley and Ben Kingsley put in terrific performances (I think they could read a phone book and make it interesting) and the cinematography is rather nice. However, there story is a major downer and it seems like anything that can go wrong does. The writers must have decided there were too many uplifting stories in Hollywood so they will counter this situation with just their one movie. To say it was depressing is a big understatement. The sound track was interesting and the acting was good, but the story was not attractive and it was difficult to empathize with any of the characters. With all the Oscar nominations I thought this would be a much better movie.

Didn't kill Bill, but killed everyone else.

It is expected that this film would be violent, but the plot was not as good as Pulp Fiction or other films by the same director. Uma Thurman did a good job in her role, but the action was a bit over the top. There was certainly a strong Kung Fu influence on this movie and many of the fight sequences reminded me of old Bruce Lee movies except blood covered every scene. If you love blood & guts and love to see blood & guts in every scene then this film is for you. If you thought there would be a great storyline then you might be disappointed. Doubt I will watch Kill Bill vol 2 since it is apparent from the first volume what will happen in the sequel. I will have to admit Lucy Lu was fabulous in her role.
