Greater (2016)
Love the story, but the film lacks
Being a massive Razorback fan, and having played for the Hogs, I was really excited about this film.
Unfortunately, this film was forced, the chemistry was off, and the production was poor. I understand the need for creating adversity so that the main character can overcome and win; but none of the coaches, that were portrayed, acted this way towards him or others for that matter. Therefore Brandon's story alone is what made him successful; not conflicted adversity.
He was like so many of us, he overcame "ODDs" and it was because of his determination and work ethic. That conflict alone made him special. So many of us allow our demons to beat us; but Brandon didn't.
This film could have been so much better, and I wish others could truly understand and appreciate Brandon's story.
Wrecked (2016)
What...cancelled?
How could this show be cancelled. It was amazing. Great comedic writing when there are so few shows that focus on comedy. The actors were amazing together.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
Wow
I was not a fan of Queen growing up. Yes, they have some great songs, but I didn't seek out their albums to have. Nevertheless, fan or not, this is an absolute winner of a movie. It's worth the time to watch it.
Ted 2 (2015)
Not worth it
Not even close to (Ted), which few movies can replicate that strategy, but this one bombed badly. I debated on staying through till the end. Just very disappointing, and I'm sure the previous success of (Ted), making almost $600,000,000 was the basis for creating Ted 2, but it shouldn't come close to hitting that mark. Save your money, your time, and just accept that this one isn't that great.
Don't get me wrong, this movie had some good zingers and a few funny moments. However, it just looked as if the crew was trying so hard to make us laugh. I got the feeling that the writers were searching for anything to make someone laugh, and they just couldn't capitalize off of their previous success. At least Dave Chapelle just said NO when he was out of good material.
I still love Seth McF, and his whit is amazing.
