Sleeping Fire Giants
10 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, what an episode.

And how evil is PB? She definitively has a lot of trust issues and FP is showing her that this is not the path to rule.

In the song of FP it is revieled, the Sleeping Fire Giants can be used to create a new kingdom of fire. Indicating they might be a mass destruction kind of weapon. Furthermore PB holds a Geiger-Counter when searching for them, indicating they might be of radioactive powered. Later (s7e15 The Moe You Know 2) it is indicated, that the "Sleeping Fire Giants" have been created by Mo, the creator of BMO.

There is more to Leobens half baked truths. The philosophical dispute is just a cover to say truths, which are not appearing until very late (season 3 and 4).

wonderfull conflicts of social status around 1955
10 January 2021
Wonderfull movie with modern problems about social status, social conflicts, jealousy. The theatrical acting is as for 1955 to be expected, but its surprising that the gender roles and its related conflicts do seem to be similar than the ones we discuss still today. A man can be sensitive, a women can earn more than the husband, depending on parents, parents asking for something back, plots that still seem to fit perfectly in today society.

as Life is - full of surprises and subtle emotions
9 January 2021
Great show! The plot is well written and surprised me quite often, the acting has been subtle and the story lives from these subtle emotions, making the show so realistic, although the story is obviously complete fabricated. Showing how incredible life is, with all its ups and downs. Leaving the want for more of life.

much to improve
2 June 2020
The imaginary names of the heroes and villains (i.e. Stripesy or Brainwave) are a good representation of the first impression of this show: Poor writing and acting. Unfortunately the actors poor performances are not the worst of this new series. A lot of logical errors, poor writing and bad scenery is my impression after the first two episodes. Shame.

Adventure Time: The Vault (2013)
Season 5, Episode 34

more essential episode than thought while first viewing it
18 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
While reviewing the episode, after I already have seen its alleged last episode (season 10 episode 13), I realize that this episode contains many hints to later plots. Therefore it is very essential, since much will be revealed.

*past lives of Finn* In this Episode we learn that Finn has a strong connection to his past lives. He originates from another world and came to Ooo as a comet. While seeing the comet as Finn remembers it, it passes a violet sphere with 3 lines. This could be a reference to the violet sphere Finn will encounter later on in "Comet". It is revealed, that Finn was a butterfly, which is also shown in a later episode. It is revealed that he also was a "thing, but" we "don't know what it is". It looks very similar to the pink gum (or mothergum) that Princess Bubblegum originates from - but until now we do not know for sure if Finn really was an ancestor of PB or even something which became her "mother".

Shoko and PB's past Seeing the past life of Shoko, many things are revealed:
  • Finns/Shokos arm
  • PB is like a "bazillion" years old
  • PB had a "boyfriend" or so
  • the creation of the Candy City
  • the creation of the two Guardians
  • PB's powerful amulet
  • young peppermint butler
During the different lives of Finn, he repeatingly looses his arm which is replaced with a prosthesis, but growing back again an arm. As in Bonnibel Bubblegum (2017) (season 10 episode 4) revealed, the boyfriend of PB during the life-time of Shoko is indeed the creation of uncle Gumbald. But why did she keep him as a "boyfriend"? So she does not feel lonely? As a reminder? We never know.

wow, what an episode.

Relaxing Bed Time Story
9 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is the most watched episode by me, due to its relaxing power. It is very unlike the other "adventure time" episodes. Jake describes the happenings he's witnessing as being a brick in a shaft. All together a great bed time story about an indomitable bunny.
