An atrocious film of gratuitous violence Mel Gibson style.

Hard to watch at times.

Acting is very good but wasted on this film.if you enjoy cinematic cruelty and violence you may like this movie.

Don't waste your time on this silly movie.I don't see how anyone would rate this movie above 3. Comedy -I did not laugh once .I hoped the movie would get better but in did not.This movie cost $20 M to make and made back 3M.That should tell you how bad it was. I agree with all the other negative reviews. Waste of time waste of talent waste of money waste of story Can't believe someone actually loved this movie.Don't waste your time on this silly movie.I don't see how anyone would rate this movie above 3. Colonel Wolodyjowski (1969)

Very boring movie

This movie was a big disappointment. In the first hour of the movie there is very little going on.There are couple of funny scenes between Wolodylowski and Zagloba in the beginning and then nothing worth watching happens. The movie has some action later on but hardly worth spending 2 hours to watch the whole thing.Lots of scenes are just there to fill the movie with nothing going on . Some of the fighting and fencing scenes are hardly believable. You never get involved in the movie and puzzled by some action that the lead Wolodyjowski does toward the end of the movie. There are couple of other movies that I have seen by this director and all of them are awful bores to watch. Roman Polanski should have directed a movie like this.

Death of a President (1977)

Not well edited but important movie to see.

This movies is not well edited but it is important movie to see. It shows Polish Nationalists /Fascists unhappy with the elected first President of Poland. It shows Polish antisemitism in governmment and in the streets. Jews as usual are stereotyped and portrayed with their beards and coats. Movie is kind of slow but I was glad that I saw it.
