Spaceman (I) (2024)

This is not SciFi, not ex.Phil, not .. not ..
9 May 2024
I am very tolerant and patient, but this movie was to slow, no SciFi, no fun, but had good acting and CGI.

The point.. Something about love, potential, possibilities and kids. Theme was "value" very normal day to day stuff.

I've seen movies rated 3 that i love. But this is rated 6-7 and that should be the sweet spot, but it is not. Usually movies rated 8+ is terrible. But this one makes it to the bottom on all points of interest.

Space, time and fun could be the 3D of a movie, but this fails at all D's There is something interest in that cloud, and some in the 70's look of things, so this is set in a parallell world for sure, also with regards to audience.

Watch this movie :-)
19 August 2022
Non stop action. Hollywood has some serious things to pick up here. Camerawork was impressive. Explotions and other things was bad. Action scenes was new and refreshing, but lack some cred. I think SC could be better than hollywood, and may be they are already. I'm tired of that US way of making movies

I think this movie is a gamechanger for action movies. I've not seen any better for the last 10 years or so... well if you can ignore some things.

Visually Great, and some hidden points
7 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I think action movies is better.. Tom raises a KID in 2-3days. Some "hurry up" with saving our planet ref. Some general rules about life.... I did enjoy, but hoped for something for me.. So somewhat disappointed. Main message: YouTube and other sources will surprice you in parenting, you don't have to be the main source of info, but you need to guide.

Not Sci-Fi, mostly soap and I'm so sick of religion.
22 April 2021
Why do they kill the joy with religious crap, and clichè types? I've seen 6 episodes, but now I've had enough. There are multiple errors, a lot of soap serie drama and it is infested with religion.

It is a positive feel about things, I like that, and actors are good, and visually it is good. The story has potential, but I want sci-fi, not drama.

NASA uses metric system. Phone calls are not possible the way they do it due to delay. A crew put together by NASA would be good, this crew membes characters are a joke. Chinese astronaut wants chinese to be main language?

Best Sci-Fi in a long time
16 August 2020
How many "positive" sci-fi movies are there? A handful. It is a b-movie, but sci-fi fans are used to that. Plotholes, and more, but totally ... the best movie since Interstellar.. I'm not paid to say this. And I think people with no sci-fi antennas would rate it bad. I think rewievs here are genuine... both the bad ones and the good ones.

Another Life (2019–2021)

Sci-Fi series that fail mostly on one thing.
31 July 2019
Stupid characters. Sci-Fi genre always fail in som way or another, and that is sad. I'm watching all sci-fi, just in search for a good part of it. I hate that the crew characters was given such extreme amount of brainbugs, but acting is ok, and cgi looks good, main story is nice and some science is nice.

Story dwells to much at smalltalk, and jumps in parts that could be entertaining. I like the non-dystopia sci-fi parts, there are waaay to many dystopic sci-fi films/series. SG, ST, BSG and Orville are way better but could also learn something from Another Life, and that makes me sit through the pain when kids do stupid things in this series.

Season 2 ... starts off way better than season 1 was in general.
25 January 2019
I get some TNG/SG-U-vibes with season 2, and that's a god thing. Eksploration seems to be in focus (including upholding Prime Directive), I like that a lot. Some wage continuing story catches my interest, just worried they are as dull as the Klingon, but their godlike appearance and actions suggest good will. Problems that happens are solved more like old ST. It is a new crew and I do have some trouble trusting their decisions.

Season 1 was war, I don't like war even in fiction or history but science of war can be good. It has nice tempo (not slow as Orville), and scenery is great.

Poor title, poor cover, but cool movie... Great :-)
11 January 2019
Action, heist, drama... and some scenes i've never seen before in a movie.. I was triggered to review this by the low score.. Some parts of this film I was thinking, is this a war movie, history, heist .. most of all it is a heist movie I think, but the genre changes throughout. It is not complicated, but twists, surprises, comedy, changes and even some facts are cool. Some of the scenery is awesome. Mixed feelings about the ending, but so were also some of the characters.

Is this just for reaching a wider audience?
1 January 2019
I hope so. First season had its weaknesses, but this was not sci-fi ... First season also had many strong episodes. I want exploration of space/cultures/adventure this was neither. I really hope this episode was for the wider audience for including more viewers. It did nothing for me, but I'm following in desperation for more TNG stuff.. I do see the need for reaching a wider audience, but hardcore sci-fi can not tolerate more soap.

For the eye something like 7.. is needed... For sci-fi something like end of SGU is needed.. For entertaining something like TNG is needed.. For tension, something like BSG is needed.. (and if you finish this series som day). For wow, something like SG-Atlantis...

I just hope a lot of them did die
3 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I'm tired of superhero vs superhero fighting. I like Stark and focus on development. Superheroes don't die ... but please let them be dead this time. I don't think Marvel can afford letting them die..

I do like ... But why God is good?
12 October 2017
99.9% of the world is dead... And I'm listening to prayers every episode. God did nothing.

Realistic? I don't think anyone would miss doomsday...

Far from realistic? IDK..probably problems, probably survivors, probably better reception by former enemy, probably less internal problems..

I'm at s1e5... If things get more far out I'm out..

The one and only, but it could have been better.
13 March 2010
Today, most popular science programs are not demanding for the viewer, but these four episodes require attention. Michio Kaku (string theory physicist) presents the properties of time and the challenges we have with doing that. He goes on an extraordinary exploration of the world in search of explaining time.

If you already know a lot about physics, this mini-series still offers a great deal. Perfect material to encourage interest in science. There are few similar documentaries, so competition is low, but in comparison to other documentaries it is balanced, well presented and nicely illustrated.
