Best Feel Good Movie of 2023

I don't know why I am so surprised by bad reviews on great movies. I truly believe it's that Wanna Be syndrome...all those wanna be reviewers who believe they are in the big time. Wish more regular viewers would write a review to balance these Wanna Bes!

OK, now my rant is over, this is such a fun movie. The young actors were great, Woody never disappoints! I was surprised this was a remake and I'm anxious to see the original. The personal stories of the players were heartwarming to the point of being inspiring. As a retired teacher, I especially liked Woody's definition of the word Champions.

Just a few warnings if watching with young kids, there are some locker room references on the crude side, and Woody's relationship with a players sister is PG rated. But, this is one great movie, ENJOY!

Rough Diamonds (2023– )

Well acted family drama. Almost reminded me of the "Dallas" formula. Remember that old TV show? Rich family drama, one evil brother, one good broth, pretty granddaughter, daughter in this one and a strong matriarch. Oil or diamonds,,,pretty much the same; worth millions. And this formula works well in this Netflix drama. Well done, Netflix!

A lot of reviewers want a season two even though there is closure on this show. I'm with them, these are well written characters and I'd enjoy seeing more of their story. Like me, you will be looking up the Hasidic Jews on Google. This project was very well researched along with beautiful filming in Antwerp. Add all this up and it's a 10/10!

Really different and makes me laugh! Sure hope they add a season 3. Enjoyed seeing actors I've seen on other shows, serious shows, and now they are comedians! What a hoot! Ignore the grumpy reviewers, they wouldn't know fun if it bit them on their bum! 😂

Resident Evil (2022)

A 3.7? Are these Bots/Reviewers nuts?

IMDB has lost it! How can a series that entertains, scares, and satisfies score a piddly 3.7? Ignore the Bots and wanna-be movie critics, this series is so worth the watch. I've seriously lost confidence in this review site! Give it a try through episode 3 before you make up your mind, unlike these yahoos who wrote these reviews! Enjoy!

The majority of wannabe movie reviewers don't know entertainment if it bit them on the bum! This movie had lots of action, great fight scenes, a patriotic theme, a bad guy to hate, and most of all a hero to root for! What more do you need for a good time? Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Great series, not just about the kids; teachers and families too! Well dubbed, excellent acting, deals with delicate subject matter for 1963. I can't figure out why Amazon nixed a second season. Disappointed in Amazon's decision, but it works as a one season wonder!

Awesome series; well acted, well directed, well paced, and poorly lit. But that one little thing didn't bother us like all these nit pickin' wanna be reviewers! Try it, stay with it, you'll enjoy it. If not, stop watching and quit your belly aching.

Colin in Black & White (2021)

This old white lady loved it!

I'd heard of Colin Kaepernick for years, especially from President Trump, so I knew there was more to the story. Thank you Netflix for bravely producing this limited season. It was uncomfortable at times because I saw myself in the predjudice from the Caucasians. It stung, and rightly so. I gave it a 10 because it changed me! I was shocked at the 1 and 2 ratings. Did they even watch it? Actors were incredible, I'm recommending it to my family and friends.

Corner Gas (2004–2009)

Love the humour! Had to spell it that way.....Canadian, eh?

Love the jokes in this funny show. Was watching it on Prime and was devastated they removed it. Glad to find it on here. A lot of laugh out loud moments, and you really get to love the characters. Kind of like Cheers, same location and the characters carry the show. Thanks, IMDb for streaming it now. :)

Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)

I went to the movie to see Schwarzenegger, Hamilton, and lots of action. I got what I came for; enjoyed it and had great popcorn. I think a lot of these reviewers think they are Hollywood writers, or Sci Fi experts; all these 1s and 2s! Really? Yup, they changed the timeline in this movie, but isn't that the point? Each time you come back from the future and monkey with time, you change it. I think 8 is a good number for me, it was entertaining and I got my money's worth! :)

Alita: Battle Angel (2019)

Never kill the dog!

Entertaining movie. This could be a 10, but NEVER kill a kid or the dog in movies! No more dead dogs! We already got it, Pretty Face is bad. Could have been shorter...after all, there are 2 more installments! Worth the ticket price though.

Great start, but goes downhill fast. I was expecting a good buddy movie, but it didn't take that route, tried, but it seemed like even the actors were tired of it.

We needed another good Christmas movie with a Santa with attitude! Especially loved the humor and those elves. So happy with the Mrs. Claus casting! This will be watched again this year, then next, and next...for years. Thanks, NETFLIX!

I go to this kind of movie to be entertained, and I was! These 1 and 3 star reviews are laughable, they think they are movie critics. It is a fun, raucous, and imaginative tale with spectacular effects. Sit back, eat popcorn and enjoy a fun movie. It never meant to be a history lesson, it's a movie.
