Of course this is an off the wall show.
There are no guns , the police station is dark with unlit corridors and flickering lights that should have been corrected.
But that's the point... they are trapped in Whitechapel and its history and this tempers all.
Fab actors, very unusual story lines and always an undercurrent of something behind the scenes manipulating and directing everything.
Some critics have mentioned the lack of computers being used, guns etc. I thinks that's the point of this show. They are dealing with ancient crimes and they solve it using old style methods.
Surprised it wasn't renewed but I may be wrong but feel the cast was not the type of cast ITV wanted to invest in.
