Depeche Mode: Devotional (1993)
Great Performance
This DVD from Depeche:s 93-94 tour shows a band at there highest performance. A lot of credits to the director Anton Corbijn. The show is brilliant with the big TV-screens in the background. The sound is great and powerful already from the intro of "Higher Love". Some people complains at David Gahans performance but i think his great. He is and have always been a great showman. This is the last tour that Alan Wilder was a member in the group. Though Martin Gore is the writer and composer in the group Alan was the man who created and experimented much in the studio to make the great sound that made Depeche so big. Personally for the band members this tour was nearly a disaster. Internal fights ended up that Alan left the band, Daves drug-addiction nearly killed him and Andy Fletcher landed in a depression. I think that many fans believed that this was the end for Depeche Mode but they came back. And now (2005) they starting a new world tour beginning in America. On the 1:st of mars 2006 they playing at the Globe in Stockholm. I'm gonna be there, believe me.
Nattevagten (1994)
Brilliant Horror
This must be one of the best Horror-movies i seen (makes you wonder why some people like to work in a morg). The acting is real good, expecially Kim Bodnia who plays Martins good (but a little bit crazy) freind. I must admit that i was really scared the first time i saw this movie. The scene with the missing body and the bloody foothprints was nearly to much (I just wanted to quit the movie and go to bed). I have not seen the Hollywood-version of this film, the Nightwatch but i dont think it´s nearly as good as the original. Just the fact that the people speaks danish in stead of english makes it (I dont know why) just brilliant. This is a masterpiece from the director Ole Bornedal. Must be seen bye any horror-fan. 8 out of 10.
Salem's Lot (1979)
Salem´s lot
This TV-serie is based on the Stephen King novel with the same name. The novel is very good, the best Stephen King novel i have read. Compared to the novel the movie is pretty mediocre, the acting is good but there are to many differences in the plot compared to the book. The film is absolutly worth seeing but dont read the book first. Íf you do you probably will be dissatisfied. 5 out of 10.
Starship Troopers (1997)
Crap
I must admit that I went mad after seeing this film. This film must be from Paul Verhoevens "crap-period". The only thing that was good in this film was the big insect-like monsters, they where cool. The main thing that was driving me mad about this film whas the "troopers". They where annoying with there cool quotes and there "i´m too tough to die" attitude. If the monsters have eaten up all the "troopers" at the end it whould have been a 10 out of 10.
