An Awe-Inspiring Triumph: Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer"
23 July 2023
"Oppenheimer" is an exceptional film that deserves the highest praise for its thought-provoking narrative, exquisite craftsmanship, and compelling performances. From the very first frame, the movie draws the audience into the fascinating world of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the brilliant physicist whose contributions during World War II profoundly altered the course of history.

The film's director, screenwriters, and production team have demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication in bringing Oppenheimer's complex story to the screen. The meticulous attention to historical accuracy and period details adds a layer of authenticity, transporting viewers back in time to witness the scientific breakthroughs and tumultuous events that unfolded during the Manhattan Project.

Cillian Murphy's portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer is nothing short of remarkable. His nuanced and captivating performance captures the inner conflicts and moral dilemmas faced by the renowned physicist as he grapples with the implications of his work. The supporting cast, including outstanding performances by the ensemble, further enriches the film's narrative and emotional depth.

"Oppenheimer" stands out not only as a biopic but also as a meditation on the complexities of scientific progress and its impact on humanity. The film delves into the ethical dilemmas faced by scientists during wartime, exploring the weight of their choices and the sacrifices they make for the greater good.

Furthermore, the film's cinematography and art direction are stunning, creating a visual feast for the eyes. The sweeping landscapes, haunting laboratories, and evocative period settings transport viewers back to the 1940s, immersing them fully in the era's atmosphere.

One of the film's greatest strengths lies in its ability to strike an emotional chord with the audience. It deftly navigates the intricacies of Oppenheimer's personal life, revealing the human side of this legendary figure. This emotional connection fosters a deep sense of empathy and understanding, making "Oppenheimer" more than just a historical account-it becomes a profound reflection on the human experience.

The film's musical score, composed by a talented maestro, complements the narrative beautifully, adding another layer of emotional resonance to the story. The music enhances key moments and intensifies the emotions felt throughout the film, creating an immersive and unforgettable cinematic journey.

In conclusion, "Oppenheimer" is a cinematic masterpiece that deserves accolades for its exceptional storytelling, remarkable performances, and its ability to delve into the complexities of history and humanity. It celebrates the brilliance of J. Robert Oppenheimer while also encouraging us to contemplate the broader implications of scientific progress and the human spirit. A true gem among cinematic offerings, "Oppenheimer" is a must-watch for both history enthusiasts and those seeking a deeply moving and intellectually stimulating film experience.

This show is so special!!
14 March 2023
Starting from the really creative look of the show and the way they have incorporated a fairy-tale to explain the character's feelings and actions in each of the episodes is really new and unique. Right from the first episode, I was pulled in and I really didn't want it to end. I love the fact that they didn't just show the Sang Tae's (the older autistic brother) as just an additional character, I LOVED the growth they showed in especially his character which kinda as result helped Kim Soo-Hyun's character grow as well. The relationship between the three literally gave me all the feels, from happiness, adoration (especially when Moon-Yong and Sang Tae use to argue cutely), sadness, etc. The growth of the older brother's character and him realizing and trying to act like an older brother to the two mad me happy cry SO MANY TIMES. I don't even need to really talk about the amazing chemistry between Kim Soo-Hyun and Seo Ye-ji, but I will hehe because IT WAS SO PERFECT. They both were so cute together and every scene they were in showed their amazing acting skills. Although every kdrama has a cute scene between the lead couple, the little cute scenes between this couple were so different and special because of the personalities that they portrayed. OUF they fit their roles so well Kim Soo-Hyun as a gentle yet strong caregiver was literally perfection from his mannerisms to the way he delivered the dialogues. The same goes for Seo Ye-Ji's Ko Moon-young, she was so elegant yet fearless I LOVED IT. Also, her outfits and styling in this show deserve an award, there wasn't a single outfit she didn't pull off. A lot of shows have female leads wearing amazing clothes BUT something that made me love her character and this show overall, even more, was how they explained why she dresses up so much and justified it as a coping mechanism, that was really something special.

WOW, SPEECHLESS!! Please don't compare with part 1.
11 November 2022
Just wow & speechless, this movie has everything. Proper blend of emotions, empathy, loss & grieving. Performance of everyone is remarkably good. Story arc of Namor, Shuri & Riri Williams ks just perfect. They actually work on the character development. Proper tribute to Sir Chadwick Boseman. You can feel his presence though-out the movie. Action & vfx are also very good and its perfectly blends in. Ryan Coogler did the fantastic job. We can't compare with the part 1, that was about the legacy of T'Challa & part 2 is tribute to him. Hats off to Ryan to pull this off.

This was entirely a 10/10 movie for me. No regrets at all watching it. Just go watch it, you won't be disappointed.

Don't fall for these negative reviews
12 September 2022
For me it's a very good movie with great efforts. I heard most of the peoples are saying that they copied this movie from here and there. They criticised this movie and the VFX. They didn't understand the efforts done by the whole production team & eventually they are the same people who also complains that in India we cannot make movies like Marvel & DC. If you can't accept the efforts than you should not complain about the same.

If the same movie with same story line was made in Hollywood with popular Hollywood actors than the same people will appreciate this movie.

Pros : VFX, Music, Direction Cons : Too much love angle, average story

Give this movie a chance as it has its own taste & genre.

This movie STANDS OUT from its predecessors!!
17 December 2021
"Marvels still got it folks", I guess that statement all on its own sums up the review for Spider-Man : No Way Home. In this post End Game era we have to admit we were all wondering how can marvel top that phenomenal movie now that most of the original cast have parted ways from the Studio, although we did see glimmers of hope here and there with Marvels entry into the OTT space and it's new initiatives such as Shang Chi and Eternals, I still felt that there was something lacking with the new direction and not sure if they could achieve that same magic again.

But boy did marvel prove not just me but all the doubters wrong with this Spider-Man movie, not giving away any spoilers but this feels like a true Spider-Man flick after a long time. We see Peter reeling with the after effects of what happened in Far from home which not only affects him this time but the people closest to him. It was nice to see everyone in the movie more involved in the story than before , MJ, Ned, Happy, Aunt May, etc are no longer side characters with fleeting impacts, they have a purpose in this movie and that's to help Peter make the right choice and not the best choice for him.

Benedict Cumberbatch is back as the mystical Doctor Strange but not like how hardcore Sherlock fans would have wanted , he actually takes a break from most of the sequences but makes his presence feel desirable and not overbearing.

Classic villains like Doc Oc , Green Goblin, Electro, Lizard, Sandman play their roles exceptionally well. They don't drag the story too far to make it tiresome nor does their presence feel diminished, Jon watts actually did quite well in bringing a Russo Brothers like experience.

Oh and I know that YouTube is totally flooded with leaks and you guys would already know the big twist that marvel wanted to drop on us but in the interest of preserving the essence of the movie am not gonna spoil it for you folks u better watch it in the theaters and enjoy it while you can.

Absolutely fantastic. 10/10.

"Let the world know, I was a revolutionary"
20 October 2021
From Writer director Shoojit Sircar comes a movie which has been in the making for the past 2 decades and was earlier planned to release as Irrfan Khan in the lead role. But don't be mistaken and even Irrfan Sir will be smiling from the heavens if he sees what Vicky Kaushal has to contribute to this epic biopic.

Vicky Kaushal has been always on my radar of upcoming talented actors in Bollywood ever since I watched Masaan (2015- a must see) which just shook me to the core and made me think of the talent we have outside of Bollywood. He is just tremendous in this role of our National Hero Sardar Udham Singh and plays it with such conviction and passion that you sometimes even forget that you are watching a movie and just get floored by his flawless performance 🎭. He just embodies the character so well that your eyes are just glued to the screen which also makes me come to the Direction of this film which is just breathtaking and goes from one country to another with such ease that you ought to fall in love with the cinematography here done brilliantly by Avik Mukopadhyay. Vicky also goes through a lot of physical acting here which only adds to his multilayered and Nuance performance in the film.

Well.

Well I have to talk about the British tyranny here without which this review would be incomplete. This movie showcases some of the most visceral and unnerving scenes of Jalianwala Bagh massacre which I have never seen before and a special warning for faint hearted (Caution already given). It will make you uncomfortable and Livid both at the same time and will make you think of the sacrifices made by our predecessors and at what cost we have got this freedom which we often don't realise.

Shoojit Sircar does it again and has been doing great movies ever since Vicky Donor came out back in 2012 but this one really marks this as his Magnum Opus and is truly earned. Genre is not a barrier for Mr. Shoojit Sircar as He is not shy in making versatile films with such penacé.

One of the best films of the year and India's most technically sound movie to date (Yes I can say this with utter confidence). Only drawback here is the Length of the film which could have been easily trimmed down by 15-20 minutes which would have made the movie more crispier and enjoyable to watch but nonetheless it's a monumental achievement in direction for Bollywood and a special movie to add to your library.

This is not a love story but a story about love
14 September 2021
The film October leaves you with a feeling .A feeling that penetrates deep into your heart and enters your soul without any sound . Quietly it creeps in through your veins and makes you numb .Just like the character SHIULI your body experience a sudden stillness .The film will make you question about the purpose of life and scratching your back it will ask what is the true essence of love is it a definition of loneliness or a state of ecstasy .

Since I saw it's trailer I wondered why is the film named OCTOBER . Well after watching it I felt no other word could describe the exactness and the content of the film.

October is the season of fall likewise human life is mortal , we bloom and we fall meanwhile life happens .

The film is beautifully scripted by Juhi Chaturvedi and obviously the realist director Shoojit sarkar brings out the story in such a way that it directly touches heart .

OCTOBER encompasses the feelings of life . An unsaid affection is amazingly portrayed by DAN ,i.e Varun Dhawan. Through the film one must be wondering the reason of DAN'S empathy towards SHIULI as there was nothing between the two characters ..they didn't even exchange a formal hello but on hearing that the last word of SHIULI Dan somewhat lost his consciousness and developed a selfless affection for her and unknowingly he felt something which was indescribable as when his mother asked is she your girlfriend DAN didn't reply no .

On the other hand the calm and composed south indian girl named SHIULI played by Banita Sandhu was extremely fond of Oleaceae (shiuli flower) and every year she waited for October to arrive so that she could collect and smell her favourite flower . What's tragic is her life too reminiscences the flower shiuli .She too fell down one night but didn't loose her breath she kept surviving untill one day her essence faded and her heart gave up just like the flower which falls down and still smells heavenly but gradually it looses it's smell and ultimately decays .

Another significant role was of SHIULI's mother . Being a single mom of three young kids and a professor of IIT she symbolised extreme strength and courage . She could'nt show her weakness she hid her pain in her eyes and told DAN to focus on his life at such a crucial point of time when he stood as a support to her family . Geetanjali Rao 's excellence is perfectly highlighted in the movie . Another impactful character was of DAN's mother .Her conversation with Shiuli's mom literally pierces into the nerves The film slowely carved a masterpiece . Each nuances especially the theme song by Shantanu Moitra is soul stirring .

This film is bound to calm your mind and refresh your soul and leave behind a trail of feelings which will keep you numb for a while and introspect your existence .

A beautiful film in every way, shape, and form
9 September 2021
'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' is absolutely on my list of favorite Marvel movies. 2021 has been full of hyped up films that have ultimately left me disappointed, but this one lives up to every bit of its hype.

The action from beginning to end was some of the best I've seen in a Marvel movie or in general in a very long time. The choreography, especially when performed by Michelle Yeoh, Meng'er Zhang, and Fala Chen (and stunt doubles) felt like poetry in motion. Everything was done with so much grace and elegance that I did not want it to end. Simu Liu brought both charisma and charm as Shang-Chi while delivering some amazing action sequences too. He was nothing short of fitting for the role. And to my surprise "Awkwafina" was not as unbearable as I assumed she would be.

The movie does lose some momentum in the 3rd act as it slows down a bit and takes a deeper dive into the story, but quickly picks back up as you head into the final battle. The set and CGI used creates some breathtaking shots that adds to the greatness of the film.

Marvel fan or not this film is worth going to see.

Best Movie of 2021
16 August 2021
Out of words to describe this movie. Probably the BEST MOVIE OF 2021!

It's not just a typical war movie but is a life story of a national hero. This movie showed different sides of capt. Vikram Batra's personality which made us love him more. He was more than a war hero. He had a filmy, sweet lover in him too. The whole movie was a mix of so much emotions. Climax had me in tears. The best cast I must say...their expressions were on point. Everything looked really authentic, raw and real. The love story was unique and beyond expectations. Really felt a big respect of Dimple maam.

Starting from the promotional JaiHind ki Senaa; all the songs including Raatan lambiyan and Raanjha was masterpieces.

Sidharth Malhotra! He lived the character. Totally nailed it. Each and every emotion was nicely potrayed. He deserves a national award for this performance.

Surely his best performance so far. So proud of this man! All the hardwork he has put in is seen in the movie itself.

Acting out a real life character is not an easy task. He truly has out done himself in this.

Sid-kiara chemistry felt almost real and had a rare purenes which enhanced the bond between dimple and vikram.

Kiara Advani did a great job.

If Sidharth was the soul of the movie; Kiara was the heart of it. &Their combo rocked.

Kudos to the whole Shershaah team; specially the director Vishnu Vardhan, thank you for bringing this alive.

All their 5-year-hardwork has really worked out. Get ready for all the love and hopefully loads of awards team Shershaah!

If this was released in theatres, this could've been EPIC! But yet this a truly is a blockbuster movie. A must watch!

A good effort.
13 January 2020
Finally, a movie that tells the true story of Chhatrapati Shivaji and his crazy brave Maratha warriors, in the way it should be told. The special effects, background score, and dialogues are simply out of this world. There is not one single second when you will get distracted or feel like checking your phone or talking to your buddies. The movie simply grabs your attention from the first reel till the end of the credits.

There is so much passion in everything from the acting to the music to the screenplay to narration to editing that you'll end up at least wanting to cry if not jump into the fight and help win Kondhana fort.

Simply put, A Good movie worth a watch

P. S.: If you are in India, do watch in 3D - you will not regret it!!

A Journey That You Will Never Forget....
26 April 2019
21 films, 11 franchises, 11 years... the game has come to an end.

It started way back when I was just 7 years old and Iron Man had come out in cinemas back in 2008. Today, I am now 18 and watching Avengers: Endgame on it's first day of release here in Australia meant so much to me and my best mate.

Together, we laughed, tried not to cry and rode waves of nostalgia as we saw the extended superhero journey of our childhood reach it's climatic conclusion...it reached it perfectly.

But before I get to the positives there were some negatives to this film. Rest assured, no spoilers are ahead.

For those who are die hard Marvel fans like myself and my best mate, there will be moments in this film that you will not like and that may even confuse you, this is only inevitable as us fans tend to over analyse everything. At points, the film will be very predictable to us and so my advice to both fans as well as non-fans going into Endgame is this, watch it with open ears, a silent mouth and just let the film consume you.

For Avengers: Endgame, the positives far outweigh the negatives, this three hour spectacular of a culmination of everything Marvel Studios has offered us for the past ten years has the right plot, correct conflicts and a resolution that was meant to be. How can all of these elements that make a film excellent be absent from Endgame when you've got so many characters each belonging to their respective franchises expressing their chemistry with each other. Not to mention the extensive character development that has taken place over the past decade, each moment in each Marvel Studios film before Endgame has ensured that the final chapter in the biggest movie franchise of all time is to be the greatest one of them all.

Disney CEO Robert Iger, Marvel Studios President Kevin Fiege and directors Anthony and Joe Russo should be proud of what they have accomplished. This will never happen again.

The whole cast and crew involved should pat their backs in unison. Most notably, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner are going to be remembered for taking part and serving as the core backbone of what is the most legendary feat ever performed in cinema history.

Thank you Stan "The Man" Lee.

Logan (2017)
10/10
Hugh Jackman delivers brutal, touching swansong to Wolverine
6 March 2017
"Guys, you don't want to do this." We've been in this situation before. Logan is surrounded by half a dozen goons. They're usually armed. Depending on where he is at that moment, he could be attacked by katanas, revolvers, or like this time, with monkey wrenches. But he warns them. It's only fair. They don't know who he is, what he's capable of.

This is how Logan begins. But this time, events don't pan out like they used to. Wolverine doesn't have a wry smile on his face as he hacks and slashes his way out. This time, he gets beaten to a pulp, the blows break his bones, rip out his flesh. The wounds that once used to heal immediately are left gaping. There's blood everywhere. And lot of swearing. This time, unlike the countless times before, Logan almost dies.

From the first moment Johnny Cash's mournful voice graced that terrific trailer, there was a sense that Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold were not going to play by the rules anymore. For Jackman, it was his ninth time playing Wolverine, and for Mangold, it is another shot to perfect what he almost achieved in 2013, when he sent Logan to Japan.

For both of them however, it was now or never. Jackman's missed no opportunity to tell everyone that this would be his last time playing the Wolverine, the character that defined his career, and would probably continue to define him for the rest of his life. Perhaps it was this pressure to do well, to erase bad memories (hopefully, after this, X-Men Origins will be forgotten), or perhaps it was the freedom afforded to it by the success of Deadpool, but Logan is unlike any superhero film you have seen. Like that Cash song, it is minimalistic, meditative, melancholy, and has nothing to lose anymore. We've seen him go through hell, we've seen him watch on as everyone he loves dies, and all he can do is keep living. All Wolverine can do is keep fighting. But what for? The reason comes in the form of a girl, no older than 10.

When we catch up with Logan, grizzled, visibly older, the scars on his body like haunting memories of the past, it is 2029. No mutants have been born in the last 20 years. They've become folktales, legends passed on in comic books, and perhaps even movies. Logan scrapes a living driving a limo near the US-Mexico border. The little money he makes goes into buying medicine for his friend Charles, Professor X. They live in the desert, away from everyone else, together, like they have been for so many years. They're all they have in this world.

And then, Laura arrives. She's a lot like him, Charles tells Logan. She's a mutant. The first one to come along in decades. And she's the only hope they have. It is rumoured that thousands of miles away, in North Dakota, there is a safe haven for others like her, like them. That is where they must take her, away from the bad men. They do the only thing they can. In a subtle homage to the first X-Men movie, Logan takes the girl under his wing. They steal a car, grab some snacks, and take to the road.

It is said that the superhero movie will soon go the way of the movie Western (not by me, but by better minds, like Spielberg and Lucas), how it has arrived at a saturation point, how the six-shooters and cowboy hats made way for spandex and force fields as they journeyed towards their final destination. For an uncommonly grim film which would much rather contemplate mortality than gleefully demolish a city, the idea of Logan reviving a dying genre – two dying genres – is almost poetic.

There is only one way to push this genre forward, to prevent it from becoming obsolete. And that is to deconstruct it, to rip off all the excess CGI, all the capes and cowls, and exhume the essence of what makes these movies so great. Logan does that. And then it does it again.

It takes cues from classics like Children of Men, The Wrestler, and even the great video game The Last of Us. It is uncompromising in its brutality and fearless in its reverence of these iconic characters. It's a testament to the power of storytelling, and what creative freedom can produce.

Logan's cinematic journey began 17 years ago in a forest. He was making money fighting in cages. A young girl saved him then, she showed him what it was like to have a family, what it felt like to be good. In Logan, it takes another girl to show him who he really is, to remind him that his life was worth something.

It is the perfect swansong he could've got.

One of the Intense and Emotional Movie of Bollywood
19 October 2016
Sanam Teri Kasam is an intense love story of two diametrically opposite people; Saraswathy Parthsarthy aka Saru (Mawra Hocane), a Tamilian Brahmin and her wealthy neighbour Inder (Harshwardhan Rane). While Saru is a bespectacled plain Jane, who works in a library, Inder is a cynical rebel who lives life in the fast lane.

Leading a sheltered life, under the aegis of her strict disciplinarian father, her marriage is the biggest bone of contention in her family as she is always rejected owing to her dowdy appearance and staid personality. One day, in her desperate attempt to transform herself, Saru inadvertently changes her destiny.

With a well-written screenplay and powerful performances by the debutant duo in Bollywood, the film tugs at your emotional chords and makes you empathize with Saru and her plight. Their love story is credible and their on screen chemistry is strong and tangible.

The dialogues befitting the characters who mouth them, are not the regular clichés in a love story and offer depth to the narration.

Harshvardhan Rane as Inder, delivers a controlled and poised performance, giving vent to his angst, love, frustrations and sorrow with restraint. He lights up the screen with his strong and well-chiselled physique and emotes superbly through his eyes. He is equally at ease as the silent lover, as he is in an emotional outburst.

Mawra Hocane, the Pakistani VJ, model and actor, is a delight to watch as Saru. She slips into the demure character with ease and her get-up certainly adds to her persona. She is confident and her innocence is endearing. You are one with her in her unrequited love, as also in her hour of grief.

Manish Choudhari as Saru's stern father essays his role competently and brings alive the character of the Tamil Brahmin authoritarian patriarch on screen. Murli Sharma as the policeman who is a sucker for love stories performs well too. Anurag Sinha as Abhimanyu Shastry, Saru's colleague and crush, offers a sincere portrayal.

The powerful background score is apt and uplifts the tenor of the scenes. The music by Himesh Reshammiya is soulful and one of the highlights of the film. The songs are penned well and bring out the mood of the film, especially Haal-e-dil and Bewajaah. The only unwarranted song is perhaps the one picturised on Vijay Raaz.

With brilliant production values, Sanam Teri Kasam manages to draw you into the lives of Saru and Inder and moistens your eyes too.

Perhaps it is the last fifteen minutes of the film, which drags a bit and given the few cinematic liberties that the directors have taken, becomes a little mawkish. Else, theirs is a love story that will touch your heart without a doubt.

Sushant Singht Rajput Should Take Home An Award For M.S. Dhoni
4 October 2016
I tried really hard to be objective about this film, but eventually I decided it's futile. If you make a biopic on the most successful captain of the Indian cricket team, on the man whose technique was so unique, sports journalists had to invent a name for his particular shot, on the man who brought home the World Cup, one cannot be detached. So there, I really liked M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, because I really like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the legend, but that doesn't mean it's perfect.

Sushant Singh Rajput has given his soul to this role and it shows. He's mastered the helicopter shot (which has an interesting origin story), his mannerisms and body language are spot on. Before the interval, we see Dhoni's struggles, some already documented and some not. Anupam Kher does a fine job as his father who just wants his son to get a stable job, Bhumika Chawla is decent as his sister. The supporting cast is good too, though not fleshed out enough. There's one friend called Santosh, who really likes beer and is a good cricketer, but nothing more is shown of him. He drunk calls Dhoni too, but he's cut off abruptly and the next time we him, he's cheering for MSD. The reason for his call is never revealed or even acknowledged. I would have preferred more time to be given to his friendship than the love stories in the film. Disha Patani makes a confident debut as Priyanka, MSD's ex-girlfriend and Kiara Advani is nice as Sakshi Dhoni, but honestly, these two tracks really slowed the movie down. The director Neeraj Pandey, who is known to not play safe, sadly paid more attention to Dhoni's love life, instead of the very interesting 'politics' in the dressing room or the various and controversial selections that took place during his reign. Thankfully, they have shown a young Yuvraj Singh, played by Herry Tangri, who looks remarkably similar to Yuvraj and has got his swag spot on.

Santosh Thundiyil's cinematography is sleek, especially Dhoni's matches and his training montage. Shree Narayan Singh's editing is a little abrupt and sometimes the movie seems a little too jumpy. Special props to visual effects team who have made the super fit and buff Sushant look like a young skinny teenage boy and then super imposed his face on the real Dhoni while showing real footage of his matches. Neeraj Pandey has done a good job in fleshing out a character like Dhoni, especially his frustrations as a ticket collector, and his incredible journey to become the Captain Cool of the Indian cricket team. This film hits all the correct spots before every big innings played by the man. His unforgettable 148 against Pakistan, India winning the One-Day series against Australia, the 2007 T-20 World Cup win, all of them have been shown with a lot more drama attached (like we needed anymore). Sushant deserves an award for his impeccable performance.

WARNING: Seeing the real Dhoni's smiling face at the end of the movie might make you ugly cry, so let those tears flow.

A Film That Everyone Needs to Watch : A blazing indictment of all that's wrong with us
23 September 2016
When she says no, it means only one thing. No grabbing. No forcing. Take that groping hand and mouth away. She isn't easy. She isn't a person of loose morals. She is not, never, ever, asking for it.

Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's Pink is an eye opener of sorts in today's society where many preconceived notions about how women are looked upon as, exist. Pink keeps us gripped from all sides even as a strictly entertainment package. The intricacies of the case unfold like a thriller. You won't miss the usual Bollywood courtroom theatrics either. Still you will get to know a thing or two about the contemporary feminist debates. That it has taken Bollywood so long to make a movie which says it so clearly, without beating about the bush, without prevaricating or using dark language, tells us a great deal about the country we live in, and the social mores that its women have had to live by, buried under crippling patriarchy and misogyny and a sense of mistaken shame—if you are pawed or worse, you must have done something to provoke your molester. So cross your hands across your chest, put your head down, and keep shut.

PINK is beyond brilliant..finest film of the year so far. Amitabh Bachchan Shines As Always and shows he is still the only boss.

One of the Coolest RomCom of the Year
13 September 2016
A Well made film in all respects. As per performances, Sidharth Absolutely masterclass Performance…Sri Rao Amazing Story. simply amazing. Couldn't resist Katrina's abs and caught the first day, second show of BaarBaarDekho – two words: loved it! Starts slow, second half fab. An understated Rom-com with the feels plus a career-defining performance by Sidharth. Katrina is efficient but has fewer dialogues. Kudos Nitya Mehra for creating a believable future world with small touches. Nitya Mehra is Outsatnding, Sharp & Crispy editing, Production Designing is Classy ! Hats-off to PD Team. Cinematography is eye catching, Beautiful Sets & foreign locations specially in Thailand, Background Score is first rate, Music is already Chart-buster, One of the Coolest RomCom of the Year. Strongly Recommended to all of u. Youth will go gaga over this flick. Go for it !! 9.5*/10*

Worst Super Villain did the worst job.

Apart from Harley Quinn, this movie isn't worth of watching, bad screenplay and very below average story.

Sultan (2016)

Salman Khan cracks and bleeds in his most real performance
8 July 2016
Warning: Spoilers
So, this is the first movie where Salman Khan takes off his shirt and everyone - including Khan - shudders. Portraying Sultan, who goes from being fit and lean to a gloomy, middle-aged, paunch-burdened man, Khan performs with elan and unhappiness, his acting giving Sultan a nice, rounded punch. At the end of the day, however, Sultan is a Salman Khan film. Probably every flaw is worthy of being overseen thanks to the sheer aura of the man. The Salman who makes people stand up and scream and shout his name right in the middle of an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) sequence.Performances are top notch with both Anushka and Salman complimenting each other and the jugalbandi that leads up to their romance is highly endearing. Ali has made sure the wrestling looks real and it doesn't feel too choreographed.

'Udta Punjab' soars on the strength of strong performances and many high notes
17 June 2016
#UDTAPUNJAB SALUTE TO MAKERS! EXCELLENT FILM! 9.5*! Diljit Dosanjh is very very good and so is Kareena Kapoor. On the other hand, Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are phenomenal! #UdtaPunjab #UdtaPunjab spreads awareness about a very important issue in a very entertaining manner! This film is hilarious in many parts! And still, its emotional content is too strong! Excellent work on direction, writing, screenplay, editing. Never bores you. #UdtaPunjab #UdtaPunjab is a must watch! This film, while dealing with an important issue, doesn't preach. It grips you with it's emotional... ...and funny content! I salute the makers for making such a bold film! #UdtaPunjab 9.5* from me! Alia's performance as a field worker is commendable. Her struggle to escape the harsh reality is met with horrific consequences but she is a fighter, who survives the storm. The impact is such that it will stay with you even when you leave the theater.

Drishyam (2015)

Its Bollywood's Shawshank Redemption
4 August 2015
What make the movies Shawshank Redemption, Next Three Days and Ocean's Eleven great thrillers and what drew fans worldwide to the TV show Prison Break… These are all stories about a master plan, a master plan to do the impossible and its flawless execution considering every little details. Except George Clooney's Daniel Ocean all the protagonists in above movies/series were simple men. A Banker, a School Teacher and an Architect with no criminal history. They lived their normal lives until they were forced to do the impossible. Dhrisham's story go by the same logic. If I dare compare Dhrisham to Shawshank Redemption (which incidentally is my all-time favorite movie) not much need to be told about the quality of the script, the direction and the performances. Dhrishyam is Bollywoods entry to world class family thrillers. For the entire second half of the movie Bollywood Cinema was elevated to the class of Hollywood. We had several art films or those parallel movies to brag about, but until Dhrishyam not many thriller or family drama type movies of Bollywood could have been called world class. Movie Is unpredictable till the end, Ajey Devgan has managed to keep his audience at the edge of the seat Till the end of the movie, it's hard to find anyone who may complain about the movie. In One Word Its Best thrilling movie of 2015.

Furious 7 (2015)
10/10
For Paul
8 April 2015
Here I go again... but this time about something that was more furious than fast. Yeah, first of all, let me just tell y'all that I am no fan of this series, I'm quite the opposite of a fan-boy, but I have to say I really enjoyed the 7th one. Yes, this review will be more about how I saw the movie and not that much about the movie itself, but I think even the movie was like that, as I hope it changed immensely after the lose... I'm just saying this as I can already see how the 1000-word limit of IMDb reviews will restrict me again. The first restriction was on a joke I did, that worked out great, so it is like by design to be restricted again, but this time on an eulogy, of some sorts. So, let's start... it, by saying some of the most important things about this movie, and probably about the series, from my point of view: 1. He owns the fastest car in the world... but he keeps it in a vault! 2. Do you still miss the bullets?.. this time we don't need to be that fast! 3. I don't have friends... I have family! 4. I will not leave you... No, I'm leaving you! 5. Do you promise?... I promise! 6. If I don't call... you should go on! 7. You will live forever... through everything and everyone that have you! I should stop now, as it seems 7 is a number to be held, and behold... but everything will go on, so why shouldn't we?! There are so many things I could say about this movie, but maybe everyone should go and see for themselves, or not... like we all do... eventually or never.

8. I remember everything now... It's about time! Thank you all for being more Furious than Fast, Seven Tytwo Junior P.S. As a general... thing, even before anything happens, please keep in mind everything in this world still has all the cars, women, buffoons, computers, weapons, experts, shows, even explosions&special effects, but sometimes there's no need for any sex scenes... maybe just because, sometimes, all those things might mislead one's attention and could be harder to see through all of those what.... movies, and especially films, are all about.

Baby (I) (2015)

One Of The Best Thrilling Movie... Masterpiece
3 February 2015
If you are a Ek tha tiger, Dhoom 3, HNY, Bang Bang fanboy/girl, do not watch this movie and do not read this review either, it's just not for you.

Akshay Kumar do not need to romance hot girls, do not need to dance and sing, do not need to do melodrama to deliver a hit movie, he had shown us this back in Special 26, he has done the same here in Baby. The cast is a perfect one and there are no flaws.

MOVIE: It has everything a good espionage thriller need to have- 1. Good cop bad cop routine 2. Cute chick beating the pulp out of the bad guy 3. Super cool combat scenes 4. No unnecessary sentiments and drama 5. Some brilliant dialogues 6. few laugh out loud scenes 7. It focuses on modern warfare--an indirect one--proxy war, which is much spoken about in reference to India in recent times 8. Kick ass background score 9. Cool Spy v/s bad guys 10. funny Akshay Anupam Kher duo Akshay Kumar has played a superb role. Its time that he should realize the fact that he looks really amazing doing films like holiday, baby and Special 26, and that he should stop doing mindless commercial movies. Danny and Anupam Kher are great at their roles. The action scenes are amazing, and cinematography is good. The best part of the movie is its direction. Neeraj Pandey has made two awesome movies earlier, and with this film he sets the standards even higher. Why cant Bollywood have more of Neeraj Pandeys and Hiranis and Anurag Kashyaps? Why cant Bollywood churn even two quality films every month? On negatives: Yes even i think the movie was a bit lengthy, if the director had trimmed it 10-15 minutes it would had been great. Yet, this movie is a rare feat. Bollywood rarely delivers movies like this. Its a must watch if you like sensible movies. And regarding the negative reviews, just do not pay any heed to them, for THIS GEM IS NOT TO BE MISSED. Neeraj Pandey as a director has done a brilliant job.
