Trespass (2011)

An unexpected gem
9 November 2016
Don't know why this was put into the rubbish bin by people. Sure, it is no masterpiece, and nothing original, but movies are supposed to entertain and it does exactly that.

I watched this with my missus when our first choice of a film did not work. but glad to see it instead.

Almost all takes place in one location, but delivers. Do not get disheartened by the low ratings and give a chance when in mood. you won't be disappointed.

Normally not keen on mr Cage, but he is rather superb here. Cannot decide whether the lady was really nicole kidman, or someone else, though. She looked very thin. and much older than i remembered.

Fred Claus (2007)

Stylish rubbish
31 May 2016
It is a well made (Hollywood glamour) Christmas movie about Santa Claus' older brother Fred and his relationship with his, especially, mother. And it was not good. Both the movie and the relations.

Only good for having kids to dip in Christmas spirit i guess, but not entertaining enough to do so.

And Vince Vaughn is terribly handsome, tall, and everything. but he is terribly BORING as well. Always talk in the same way in all the movies I know of, fast, monotonous and non-stop.

If you zero your head and expectations this might be fun, despite Vince. Otherwise waste of (movie) time.

Warning: Spoilers
I have to make it clear before beginning i'm a big sucker for 'human' action heroes with super human abilities.

this has one ..... a terrible one at it. not talking about the actor - well, maybe that aspect as well - but the character is the least likable agent you'd find if you are not hopelessly in love with mr cruise. he beats & kills baddies when making jokes, disappears magically, nothing can stop, or kill him. not embracing nor entertaining at all. if you want all these watch 'wanted'. or 'shoot'em up'. not to mention 'sin city' and the best of all 'the bourne identity'. i think watching a movie with any expectation is equal to making sure that it will fall short of your approval. there's only a very small amount of them that you could say someone it's great, and the guy agrees with you after seeing it. most of them are just to kill time.

the films i liked most are the ones i watched without knowing what they were like, then found there were bright spots in them.

A Single Man (2009)

Safe theme, bad everything

I guess the only thing this's been rated high was its concept. doesn't feel it was worked on, properly that is. there are so little things to worth your effort to watch it. Even, normally beautiful, ms. Moore looks and sounds irritating. to watch her efforts to sound like an English woman hurts. Noting against to gays, but this has over stepped what's acceptable as, well, tasteful. It's like forcing gay people (male ones) to watch playboy movies. Only things that were nice were to see Nicholas Hoult grown into a better looking, less annoying youngster. and to listen to Matthew Goode speak. i cannot claim to have reviewed much prior to this, but it made me force write something to save other people to be fallen the same mistake: the allure of rating
