The thought of a show about chess just seemed incredibly boring so I was really hesitant to give this a shot. I can now say after finishing it in a day and a half that I am so glad I did!
What an incredible story with great characters, actors, relationships, and lessons. It's also so refreshing to see an intelligent female character in a show that doesn't play into stereotypes. She is incredibly smart but also very human.
I do not know how to even play chess or have any prodigy like talents but I still felt I could relate to Elizabeth. She is such an inspiring character and I loved following her journey the whole way through.
Definitely give this show a chance, you won't regret it.
