Great movie. Very underrated.

I'm not going to give an in depth review, but I saw this movie in theaters within a week of its release. I was not disappointed whatsoever. I thought it was a perfect film in Romero's "Dead" series. Everybody just picks it apart because it's not "Dawn" or "Day". Get over it. It will be very difficult, if not impossible to top his original classics. The actors did a great job, the zombies becoming increasingly intelligent will keep you on edge, Bub makes an appearance or two (which is awesome), and I would love another follow-up to it. I have yet to see "Survival", which apparently is legitimately awful, but I can't wait to give it a try. Every Romero movie I have watched has been amazing, even "Land" and "Diary".

A complete waste.

I saw this movie in the theater right when it came out and I was so disappointed. The other Halloweens terrorized me when I was younger and I was hoping this movie wouldn't disappoint. Man was I wrong. I fell asleep in my seat watching this movie. I'm not going to write some long review, for if I start up, I don't think I'll be able to stop complaining about everything wrong with it.

Basically, if they were going to kill off Jamie Lee Curtis, they should have came up with a way better plot line for the rest of the movie, obviously. They should have brought Hartnett back and had Myers go after him, since that is his only family member left alive. I don't know. Just never watch this movie.

Shocked and awestruck

I cannot begin to describe how much I love the first Cabin Fever. Ever since I saw it in theatres I was hooked. So, when I heard there was a sequel that was finished, it just was waiting to be released, I was obviously excited. And it had nowhere to go but downhill from there. First I heard that Eli Roth had nothing to do with this sequel, and I honestly don't think I need to elaborate anymore.

Then, after stumbling upon the IMDb page for it, I saw that Rider Strong was in fact playing in this movie (I had heard that before this sequel was even in production, and I believe I had been told that it had come out of Eli Roth's mouth while talking about making a sequel). And since his name was at the top of the list I naively thought he was playing the main role. So my excitement had somewhat returned.

I start watching it. Three minutes into it; SMACK! (pun intended). There went most excitement. The only reason I kept watching was to see what Deputy Winston had in store for us this movie (which was honestly very disappointing).

I think the plot was very shallow, although it seems like they tried so hard to make it work. The gore was actually great, in my opinion (minus the throwing up). But the fact that they changed what this sickness/disease/infection does physically to people was just plain stupid. If this movie was just an original 80s horror movie and not a sequel, it may have been looked at as mediocre. Unfortunately, it's not an 80s original horror movie. It's a travesty sequel to a masterpiece.
