Josie and the Pussycats are the new Du Jour!!!!!!!
21 August 2003
well what can i say about this film......only one thing that it is awesome.

The film is great, its one of my all time favourite films. And plus the music in it is wicked.

This is the kind of film i want to make after Uni, a feel good, groovy, funky movie. Its the way that movies should be made.

A strange musical, but a must see film for film lovers
21 November 2002
I had wanted to see Dancer in the Dark when its first came out, however like most people out their, their local cinema complex does not show independent films or non mainstream films, whatever you would like to call them. That they only show big budget films.

So when i got the chance to see the film i jumped at the chance. The other reasons why i wanted to see this film was that it was a musical and being a musical lover i wanted to see how good it was. Also their was a lot of praise surrounding the film as well as the leading lady, Bjork winning awards for her role.

Well, in my opinion Bjork comes across as eccentric and if i have offended any Bjork fans i apologize. Because of this i wondered if she could act, and boy was i surprised.

This film is incredible, it still manages to achieve what it set out to do, even though it is shot on DV. As a documentary student hoping one day to make a film, it is these films that inspire you.

And of course Bjork, fantastic, i can understand why she won so many film awards for her acting. She moved me to tears, and any actor or actress that can do that is worthy of an award.

9/11 (2002 TV Movie)
A documentary in its rawest form, how a documentary should be made.
20 November 2002
When i watched this documentary, i was in tears, as i had seen previous 'specials' on 9/11. But this one was the one i would say showed the 'truth' in the sense that, they were inside the tower. We all knew that the fire fighters of New York had tried their best to save those trapped on the top floors, and most of them unfortunately lost their lives. This documentary showed their determination and frustration when they couldn't get to the people trapped.

As a budding documentary film-maker to me this is a pure documentary. In terms of it being real, that everything we see, hasn't been staged. The way a documentary should be made. But on the other hand, it is very heart felt and emotionally moving to watch. As most of the footage in the documentary has never been broadcast on the news.

Be advised it is very sensitive material to watch.
