Bionic Ever After? (1994 TV Movie)
6/10
Good re-union movie.
29 December 2005
I watched this film yesterday when it was repeated on the Sci-Fi channel, I'm too young to remember the 'Six Million Dollar Man' and 'The Bionic Woman' the first time round but I can remember watching repeats of the shows.

I enjoyed this movie although I did feel like it spent a little bit too long setting up the situation rather than resolving it.. but that's a small niggle when you have two very watchable characters played by actors who seem to be having a ball.

I would say this was made more for fans of the shows rather than new viewers, since it doesn't spend a lot of time re-introducing the older characters.

Lots of fun !

My Grandad used to read the books as a child and my Mum introduced them to me, so its inevitable that i'd watch this film as a child needless to say me and my Mum love it !!

The film strays "slightly" away from the books World War 1 setting, (only in the eighties would they have made it into a time travel story) but the characters are faithful to the originals written in the books.

The films plot is a bit silly, but its lots of fun without been stupid and it makes me feel better every time i watch it.

I just hope my "time twin" is someone as cool as Captain James 'Biggles' Bigglesworth ;)

Inspiring...
6 November 2003
This is one of my all time favourite films, not just because its got a great (although not totally original) plot but also because it manages to inspire at the same time.

This is one of the films that made me want to make films...

I can't see me ever going to the effort that Peter did to get Erica, but anyone who's ever loved someone can understand it :)

Well....
5 November 2003
I wasn't a fan of Reloaded but it had its moments and I had high hopes that Revolutions would clear up any doubt I had about the previous installment.

Unfortunately it didn't and this and Reloaded are both brilliant examples of why great films shouldn't always have sequels !!

This trilogy wants to be Lord of the Rings, but it isn't, Reloaded and Revolutions suffer from what The Toxic Avenger Parts 2 and 3 did, its one film cut into two parts. there's a good film there if someone edits them together and cuts out the crap (plenty to go at in both) !!!

The film also ends with the suggestion they're maybe a sequel one day.. Well I hope Warner Brothers learnt their lesson with Superman 4 !!!

The real sequel !!!
30 June 2003
As the film says at the start, this is the real sequel.... i like lots of things about Toxie 2&3 but 4 blows them both out of the water, this is a classic piece of Troma, a must see film !!!

If you don't like blood, guts and "special students"... i don't suggest you watch this film, if you're intelligent enough to understand the social satire nature of Troma movies then i highly recommend you watch it.

Not a bad film really....
4 January 2003
I'll admit it, I brought this film because it was cheap and i love zombie films... I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be quite good, in a low budget kind of way !!!!

Not exactly 'Night of the Living Dead' (which it hints at been a sequel to) or 'Evil Dead' but worth a watch all the same.
