Futurama (1999– )
Like 'Farscape' and 'The Chronicle,' this show should have had a longer run
27 March 2004
This was one of the greatest TV shows ever. Fox just let it slowly die because Groening wouldn't let them have total control over it, like they got with the Simpsons. I hope this comes back, it deserves to. Like 'Farscape' and 'The Chronicle,' this show should have had a longer run. I've just gone through the entire DVD set and watched all the episodes with commentary, and there's so much stuff crammed into each show - especially a lot of nerd jokes - and now I also have a newfound respect for the animators, because I now realize that they blended 3D with 2D superbly (I didn't realize how much the animation was 3D until I listened to the commentary) that these artists definitely need more time to shine. This show ruled. Please, FOX, bring it back...

Insomnia (2002)
Excellent movie, much better than I actually expected
3 August 2002
I read in Entertainment Weekly that Robin Williams was gonna be in a movie where he plays a killer, I went "hmm." This looks like a movie I should check out". Then I found out Al Pacino was gonna be in this same movie, as well as Hillary Swank. When I found out Christopher Nolan was the director, I was convinced. After finally seeing it, I must say WOW. Just WOW. Williams pulls it off better than I thought he could, and the imagery, the imagery is amazing. Great movie. Wish I'd seen it at a theater where the ticket price was 7.50 instead of 3.00, this movie is deserving of a 7.50 ticket price. Now all I gotta do is rent the Norwegian original and judge. Kudos to Christopher Nolan. Memento was a great movie, albeit a little confusing, but a great movie. I'm watching all his movies from now on.

Jet Li Is 'the One' (2002 Video)
Watch it for the fight scenes and special effects
20 June 2002
The fight scenes blew my mind, the special effects are superb, and Jet Li does a great job as the villian. The actors apparently loved making this movie, they take a horrible script and make it watchable. It was a good premise. A bit short, but a good fight movie. One thing, though: The MRI fight scene could've never happened, the gun would've been pulled onto the magnet had Yulaw been standing in the doorway.
