Downhill after 2
1 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
First two seasons were superb. Then they got rid of Brandon and the quality went down. With season 3 Ronnie exited stage left. Those two were the heart and soul of the show. Season 4 is atrocious. Please just end it.

So Far off the Tracks...
31 December 2020
The basic concept of The Federation is respecting other peoples' rights and cultures. They wanted Burnham and Adira to leave and instead of respecting their wishes the pair decide to abuse the hospitality and go against the indigenous populations sacred caves. This isn't Star Trek.

Kind of Expected
31 December 2020
Those of you that expected this to be good are not really seeing the first one clearly. The first movie got saved by the fact that the plot was practically a carbon copy of Captain America's first movie. This sequel didn't have a decent movie to rip off so the true lack of talent showed through.

Passes the time, but people are overlooking major flaws.

Warning: Spoilers
First the real plot of this was the reason behind the arson murders, which is only covered in the last episode and sporadically mentioned prior to that. A good mystery drops clues throughout the show to help the viewer figure it out.

Second, the locket was a huge Deus Ex Machina. It wasn't even mentioned until the penultimate episode. It wasn't discussed till the last few scenes.

Third, this is one of the most dense girls I have ever heard of. She must have been the one that had her head bashed in. She sees that her boyfriend, the only other person that knew about the arson, is murdered. So she decides to contact all of the murderers and expects these child killers to protect her. Her dad she can't trust because of a tracking app which every parent has, or should have, on their child. Okay she might be mad at him, but I would take someone that I don't think I can trust over someone I know has killed eight children anytime, including her child killing mother.

Finally, what did they do about the three dumbest criminals in the world and their attempts to destroy the body? That sociopathic girl that was their child never got charged with anything. Also, pretty much everyone in this show other than Pete and his daughter should be charged with obstruction of justice, but I can let that slide just because it is a show.

Really it was a good show up to the last episode, that really pulled this down.

Perfect
23 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
One of the best episodes of the series. Brings back a classic character and ties in with the Darkseid plot line by making Kal-El more settled with himself by resolving his issues about his dead father. Yes it is a bit emotional, but that doesn't necessarily make it good or bad. But the interactions in that last bit of black/white segment are perfect (not when his father walks up and hits the button).

Warning: Spoilers
So ((((SPOILERS)))) This was one of the best episodes I have seen. It got back on track by getting Oliver being the main character. Also the secondary characters were just that, secondary.

Only issue is that Felicity still gets to play front and center, as always, by getting the info and being the saviour in the fight scene, this time by being in the field. Not to mention her long winded plot they have going on. Don't hate her, think she gets attention at the expense of others and plot. If not for that the show would have been a 8 or 9.

Getting ridiculous *spoilers*
2 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
The writers are just getting lazy now. All of these people are just willing to believe this girl.

One brother turns against the other and then both start believing the girl.

Ben believes that both of the girls can get knocked out together?

He knows how strong he is, why would the other girl be?

And then Hal thinks that Ben, who has been skeptical of the girl the whole time, would knock out the other girl, shoot bullets into the wall, and then try to escape?

The writers aren't even bothering to make the script credible.

Great Show, with plot holes big enough to fit Texas!!!
30 July 2005
To begin with, I like this show, I own all three seasons on DVD. It is a fantasy show, utterly lacking any need for higher level thinking. This is not "Farscape" or "Star Trek" which might require the viewer to actively think about what is going on, or even "Xena" and "Hercules" which actually stuck to one major plot line. But it is good aimless fun. And Monikka Schnarre would look good reading a phone book.

What surprised me however was the lack of any sense of time. The show started the first season in the stone age. Bones, wood and stone consisted of the materials available to create tools and weapons. Okay, I'll buy it. Darr's Halbred could have been created of two leg bones of an extremely large animal, the metatarsals or metacarpals of an elephant would suffice (or is it the phalanges?). Season two rolls around and we've got bronze. Initially only the Nords had it, until the middle of the season. After the half-way mark, everyone was learning to extract bronze, independently of each other. Tao was developing ways to fly. The crossbow was invented. I still wasn't thrown, the liberties hadn't truly been taken yet. That's when season three rolled around. The first two seasons were thrown out the window. Everyone had iron weapons. Darr's sword appeared to be a Katana made of steel. STEEL!!! Zad had Knights running around. We went through roughly 7000-8000 years of evolution in a short three year span. None of the actors even aged discernably. The animals even took a back seat to him finding his family.

It seems to me the people pulling the strings decided to take the show different ways from episode to episode. The Sorceress would show up in black leather trying to be evil in one week, and then be wearing clothes straight from the runway the next. Not that I'm complaining. She can wear leather, dresses, skirts, bikinis or even nothing and I still would watch.

Oh well, I still watched and bought the show. They succeeded in what they wanted to accomplish. Just don't watch the show with a critical view and you'll do fine.

beautiful, inspiring
3 May 2002
I do not recall ever seeing any commercials for this film, and that is disappointing. This movie, from what I understand it is marketed towards young women. I am a 23 year old male and I loved this film. It is inspiring and thought provoking. In the end what else can you really ask for in a movie. I don't know how else I can express in words what I felt during and after watching this movie. A pleasant change of pace from the normal drivel being spit at us from hollywood.

Claire danes, as always, gives an amazing performance.

Do yourself a favor and watch this.

they cant be serious

Warning: Spoilers
I just finished watching this movie. let me start by saying that I usually dont comment on movies, unless they are exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. normally I just leave a rating. I'll admit, I downloaded this movie purely because Liv Tyler was in it. My expectations were not all that high, just that it have something resembling a plot, decent acting and that she look good in it. Well, they got one of those right, and it damn sure wasn't the acting or the plot. what kind of high quality **** are these people smoking and where can I get some of this stuff. Okay, the main story line of this movie is that this kid stole over $9000 dollars from his employer. this is not a spoiler by the way, it occurs in the first five minutes of the movie. The only form of punishment that he is subjected to is that he has to sit on the couch. no police report, no termination of employment, as a matter of fact, the manager tries to commit fraud to cover up for this guy. Horrible acting, one of the basic 14 or so plots floating around in hollywood, just the names and places substituted. I gave it 3/10, just because of the fact that liv tyler appeared in her underwear, and that you get to see rene zellweger in skimpy clothing, but that was being liberal. I just don't like giving anything a real low score. I dont know what else I can possibly say that could be considered positive. don't waste your time. later.
