I loved it until episode 6, from them you can find inconsistencies in the battles, the story is perfect.
It was a hell of a ride, the storytelling is amazing and they did an unbelievable work researching about the japanese culture. The "path of the hero" concept doesnt get better than this, but with a twist. The character development is perfectly shown, with some surprises, but its totally believable. The script and the interactions between the characters happen for a reason in the story (at least most of them) and most episodes are important part of the plot. The villian makes you angry and you want him to suffer.
That being said... THERES A FREAKING THING CALLED POWER LEVELS and it just doesnt make any sense, in sorry. Mizu and Taigen start as equals and Taigen just forgets how to fight. Fowler is a white rich guy who doesnt train and he is the strongest fighter in Japan (but somehow Mizu gets him in a cage at the end). Samurais are supposed to be well trained and Ringo kills a lot of them. Fowler's army can kill houndreds of enemies in seconds, but cant push a door. It just ruined it for me. Also, motivations get messed up for no apparent reasons at the end.
I know its a fantastic tale, but they were doing it great before episode 6.
