Oh my God! Noooooo!!!
11 July 2008
Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue. It's like watching a much-loved relative in the final throws of a degenerative illness!! Clearly the work of people with no soul, no love or respect for the original work. What in the name of all that's holy were they thinking of? It seems they were trying to go all post-modern and ironic. Instead it's just abysmal swill!! What's the point in taking up a successful franchise like 'Scooby-Doo' if you just going to flush it down the toilet? My son loves the original series - and even some of the spin-off movies - but he can't stand this drivel! And let's face it, you can't argue against the tastes of a seven year-old

Inseminoid (1981)
Atrocious!
11 January 2004
One of the worst films I have ever seen - possibly THE worst. Never scary, sometimes repulsive - this is the biggest pile of pea-brained, schlock, exploitative nonsense it's ever been my misfortune to waste my time watching! The script, direction, sets, SFX, etc are amateurish beyond belief and all in all it has slightly less artistic merit than your average hardcore skin-flick! Every copy and the negative of this piece of garbage should be burned.

The actors must have been REALLY desperate for the work!

Die Laughing!
4 October 2003
As more than one person has said, this movie definitely divides the viewing public. I come down very firmly on the 'pro' side. This is without doubt one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.Undoubtedly VERY DARK, but if human cruelty, vanity, stupidity and naivety is what makes you laugh, DDG will make you laugh out loud. I've been scratching my head to think of the last time I've laughed out loud at a movie,in vain. This one had me doubled up with laughter. As so often it's the throw away lines which are the best. "They sent my dog to live with a nice family on a farm." "This is the best day since Hanky got acquitted." "My mom had Mrs Lopez sew it." I only discovered DDG by accident on late-night TV, but had to get the DVD the next day. Achingly funny stuff....I only hope middle-America gets the joke.

Tribulation (2000)
Scary!
29 August 2003
Plays on small-minded middle-American paranoia and hatred of all things non-American. Dreadful, fascistic brainwashing! This is the kind of movie which gives a great country a bad name! As one of those evil non-Americans, I find the fact that people lap up this kind of hate-mongering nonsense deeply scary!!

I'm sorry to say this, but......
4 August 2003
I'm writing as a true Bond devotee. I've loved the movies and books for nearly thirty years, so it's with great regret that I have to say this entry in the series is lousy! The problem for me lies with the script, which is very poor. It's cut and paste film making. Add an action sequence here, a one liner there, no matter whether they actually progress the story or emerge seamlessly from the narrative. The villains are seriously underwritten and overall the plot was muddled. I just didn't care about story or characters and there was a distinct lack of tension or edge. Messrs Wilson and Broccoli have to take the rap for this mess and I sincerely hope they sort themselves out before their next Bond effort.
