NOT A PICNIC
3 September 2023
First I want it known that I am a big fan of movies from this era. I have list of about 100 films I have seen that I would easily watch again but Picnic is not one of them. The characters are all very one dimensional cliches. Everything in the film is very predictable. I actually used the fast forward to get to the last few scenes. It's almost as if I was watching a cartoon. I do think that Holden did a decent job but even his character portrayal was very flat. The cinematography was the best part of the movie. I'd rather watch "The Best Years Of Our Lives" or "Storm Fear" again with Dana Andrews. Roger Ebert gave an excellent review that more succinctly explains what I am trying to say here.

Man vs Cheese
14 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I wouldn't go as far as saying this is a good movie but the action part kept me interested. Its rather predictable and slow in the beginning. I do know it was a very low budget film but The script was a little cheesy and the acting was mediocre at best. I do like the lead actor David Ford and I have seen another movie with the same subject that he started in so I kept watching.... I suppose it had a good theme/ moral and ending but really how many times can you fall in the woods and injure yourself badly yet still get up and move? I'm glad the lead actor didn't kill the big foot and her baby. .

Christmas in the Rockies (2020 TV Movie)
Greatly poor
10 December 2022
A Christmas In The Rockies.....Yes corny, yes cheesy, bad acting, poor casting. Yes all lumberjacks daughter's are lumberjacks too. It's in their blood and their hair, makeup, and clothes always look perfect even while working out. Yes her father was 1 year old when she was born....but I don't really expect anything else from these movies. They are soooooooo far from reality that it makes me laugh. Plus extremely predictable. The only interesting character in the movie was the man who played Grandpa Sam. Please Santa buy some acting lessons for Mike Shara. Anyway Merry Christmas everyone. God bless.
