Though Dave Chappelle is my favorite comedian, this movie was weak. The story line non existent, the supporting cast- sorry (except for that fine sista Rachael True). I liked the play on words with True's movie name Mary Jane Potman. Chappelle's stand up in HBO's comedy half hour is classic but this film does him no justice. Stupid flick that you should not waste your rental bucks on. Wait to watch it on cable if you can take it. 3/10

What the !@#$, was exactly what I said when I saw this for the first time on cable (cinemax) in 1984. I was in the 8th grade and completely disconnected from the suburban life style. In 1984 I was rockin the sounds of RUN DMC, wearing kangols,British walkers,shell toe addidas and sharpening my skillz on the mic in the bathroom mirror. But this flick was cool all the way through. A teenager's dream of sex and $$$. But only in Hollywood can one live out this fantasy. 10/10 easy.

The Matrix Reloaded (2003)

Great entertainment but lacks a little substance

I loved everything about this sequel except the "cause and effect" speech. I think the Wachowski brothers should have stuck to the story line more instead of jumping to action and fighting scene 1 after another. The fight scenes were great but seemed to have been ill planned. In the 1st Matrix the characters fought when they had to. With the exception of Neo- all other characters in the Matrix Reloaded should have tried to avoid confrontation with the agents leaving the element of a threat. The new agents did not seem as much of a threat this time. New characters like the twins were introduced but what the heck is their purpose and what are they? Other than that everything was ok- loved the rejoicing scene at Zion!

This movie was disgusting. C Thomas Howell was sorry. Oh, and could they find a more non black woman than Rae Dong Chong. I think if the casted an actress who excepts who she is would have given this piece of crap of movie a little more weight. The whole concept of a white boy taking pills to turn his skin brown to become black is absolutely absurd. I don't know one white kid in America who would do such a thing no matter how desperate they became. The racial jokes, police following him and the dating my white daughter thing is only the tip of the iceberg as far as racism goes. These examples were very light. There should be a law against making trash like this. Oh, by the way, what the heck was James Earl Jones doing in this toilet floater?

Just like his sorry rap music, so is this awful piece of what ever you want to call it. I found this movie offensive, distasteful, mindless and degrading. I use these adjectives because I can't think of one right now that really captures the filth of this movie. I kept hoping the story line would reveal itself, but it never materialized. I am a huge movie buff and I have sat through some sorry junk before but this was pitiful. The blacksploitation movies of the "70's" are Oscar performances compared to this mess. I have one question, who allowed this to reach the public? Master P has no respect for his people, women and himself. I hate this garbage.

What the heck was this crap. Boy, this was a tasteless mindless work of garbage. It was very obvious that stunt doubles were dancing for the lead actor, especially when she tried to incorporate break dancing into her routine. What a lame movie. This reminds of other works of crap like "Footloose" and "Dirty Dancing". I gave this movie a 1 for the lack of entertainment value. If you have not seen this movie, don't bother. If you see the video/dvd on the shelf, shoot it!

Bait (2000)

Surprisingly entertaining.

This movie surprised me. Some things were "clicheish" and some technological elements reminded me of the movie "Enemy of the State" starring Will Smith. But for the most part very entertaining- good mix with Jamie Foxx and comedian Mike Epps and the 2 wannabe thugs Julio and Ramundo (providing some comic relief). This is a movie you can watch over again-say... some Wednesday night when nothing else is on. I gave it a 9 for entertainment value.

Strictly Business (1991)

Good clean movie with a message. They don't make them like this anymore. This movie reminds me of a later movie Mo Money!, though more for comedy with the Wayman brothers still clean and fun to watch. I gave this movie a 10 for entertainment value.

The Lost Boys (1987)

Great 80's movie.

I was 16 when this movie came out but I did not see it until it went to video. Anyway, great casting and the music was ok (set the mood). Typical 80's dress (I never wore that crap) and feel. Good screen by appearance Jamie Gertz. I gave this movie a 9 for entertainment value.

What a sorry flick. Too awful and corny to finish watching. There is not too much to say about this one. The story is ridiculous. I don't know why this just didn't go straight to video. How this made it to the silver screen is beyond me. What a waste!.

Here is one of those idiotic far fetched plot lines that plagues us several times in a decade. A town passes ordinances to band hard rock music and dancing. Oh, come on!! Not just the plot but the characters are pitiful as well. Ren, what kind of name is that and oh, Sarah Jessica Parker, the only bright spot in this flick but what a far cry from what she looks like now- talk about and ugly duckling!!

OK moviev fans. Those of you who are looking for an excellent movie for real entertainment then, this one is for you. If you are not into reality based movies then stay away from this one. My brother recommended this movie to me about a month ago. To tell the truth I didn't remember this movie being advertised or any thing, thats quite a over sight on my part since I am a big movie buff. This movie drew me in immediately with the camera shots- close ups and the camera movement- I was clinching my heart and teeth once the ride started. The complete drama and the images remained imprinted in my mind for several days after wattching this movie. The lives of the four characters become pure chaos from where they start. I can't find the words to describe what goes on--- you just have to see it!!!!!
