Borderlands 3 (2019 Video Game)

Not the "best" looter shooter, but the fun one
10 December 2022
First, and the most obvious part, the main story is really bad, cringe humor, half-baked story plots and annoying characters. It ignores what TPS set up with The Watcher, Athena and the "the upcoming war", and just made a mess out of things .

The gunplay (for a lack of a better word) is superb, all guns felt really good to use (even the bad ones), all the little sandbox addition to the combat, like a more flesh out enemy variaty and AI, now you can punch barrels into enemies and make enviromental damage, like shooting an oil stain with fire nearby, or shooting water with electrical damage.

The vault hunters are absolutely fantastic, their stories are interesting enough, and their abilities and build diversity are the best in all the series. Personally I am a believer in Amara Supremacy.

The DLCs were well done, all of them are actually really good story wise and add a bunch of content to the game, and this without mentioning all the free post-lunch content, like the takedowns and the season events.

This is a good quality game even without the DLCs, but if you can get the two season passes, this is one of the best looter shooter expirience ever and like it says in the tittle, maybe is not the best looter shooter, but is easily the funniest one to play.

No Master Piece, not even close

I like RPGs, this is a bad example of one, is the most supericial type of "RPG" that only puts levels and weapons rarities. The story is one of the stories ever made, altough it has good moments, and I like Bayek as a main character, and Aya, it has so much filler between the actual decent moments that I just lost all interest halfway trough, I can't rembember any other character's name without counting the historical figures. Combat is very simple and basic, it is a nice change in the right direction, comparing it with previous AC games, but it still felt like a water down Dark Souls type combat for babies. It felt really buggy, not any major bug, just a general feeling of buggines, your horse stucks on every tiny rock, the parkour sucks, the Ai of enemies in next to none, etc. The actual map is gorgeous, ancient egypt is a blast to look at, very well recreated, but the moment you interact with anyting it brokes.
