Great end to first season

Asking Sheldon for advice, specifically about relationships - there's only one way it's going to go. Hilariously. Fun way to round off the first season of The Big Bang Theory.

Great script but few plot holes
18 June 2022
Everything about the writing of the episode is great. However, there's a few things that have been overlooked and it makes it appear sloppy. Why is Raj able to talk here with Leslie but not elsewhere? Sheldon isn't in his spot and makes no fuss.

Necessary episode for Raj but gets abused
18 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Great idea whoever thought of this as it provides endless opportunity but a little inconsistent. For example, rum cake (S3) suffices because alcohol but he gets hopelessly drunk off cake during a few minute interview (FBI security clearance)? Come on. Another example is the zero alcohol beer on the train (S2?) but that episode had enough holes as is.

Solid, safe start

Manages to walk the tightrope of predictability/stereotyping and setting up the series mostly well. Yes it's cringe, yes it becomes less cringe. A little messy and although some backstory in Season 3 helps it shouldn't have taken that long.

Whoever rejected this saved big bang

Look while I'm sure there still would've been some viewers I feel this would be cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons. Only the first episode of what would be and it already sells itself out by relying heavily on objectifying women.

Sheldon sets a new standard for future episodes

The Shelbot is such a genius plot element because it is so perfectly, hilariously a Sheldon thing. Throw in some cheap toilet humour (which Sheldon pulls off far better than others such as Raj) and you're golden.

An episode I can't criticise

Everything about this episode is amazing. Raj bests Sheldon at his own game, Howard provides immeasurable entertainment value and Bernadette sees more screen time.

Interesting direction for Amy
18 June 2022
New decision allowing Amy (and Sheldon by association) to be the spotlight of the episode largely works in it's favour although Howard and Raj's efforts fall a bit flat.

Hard episode to watch
18 June 2022
Season 4 started off strong so I had high hopes continuing on. There's a bit of good Sheldon script at the start but it just gets worse as the episode goes on. Nothing super substantial happens in this episode so do yourself a favour and just skip.
