Don't miss the point
12 November 2023
If you're expecting Hot Fuzz then you'll get it but without the comedy. This is a seriously impressive commentary on the patriarchy inherent and the festering hate for men from the 60s compared to the male supportive black man in current day, all this adapt around a horror, fashion film with a greta soundtrack makes it utterly unpredictable and beautiful if not dark to watch! This is an art film, not an art comedy like Edgar's other films. Edgar always completes its narratives and character arcs which makes this so satisfying to watch. Having lived in London for 25 years (33 now), I think is a superb depiction of London and of course a subtle nod to "Jack the Ripper". Maybe the Ripper is a was a consortium of men that is portrayed by Edgar? Who knows? , which is what I love about this move.

Reliant on using Jordans legacy to sell a film, big actors, falls way short
13 May 2023
This went by in a blink with no memorable moments, the only thing this film has going for it is the cast which still don't give you a reason to not turn this off! The film was based around the fact that it's not just about the show but who wears it? Who does wear it? When do we see Jordan? This film required a lister to take a back seat and find a young and promising Jordan actor! You only have to look at how fast this was released online to see that it's just not a good film and Ben and Matt are past their hood will hunting days. A lot of scripts relying on true stories and falling short is apparent, is there any creativity in film making anymore?

OK movie, nothing on "Chef"
26 June 2022
It was OK, but not having a helmet whilst riding a bike in the UK ripped me totally out of the film. John Favreau did it better in a film called "Chef". We needed to see more of the back story and be able to feel the redemption.

Ms. Marvel (2022)

Really don't get the hate.
8 June 2022
This isn't for Marvel fans who like a bit more adult humour etc, the reason I've rated it 7 because I'm 32 year old long term fanboy of the marvel movies etc and this is just not like anything Marvel have done yet which doesn't surprise me as they always pull out the unexpected. I enjoyed it but I do hope they give her powers from "that item" a back story, if not then the show would feel to random, can anyone become a supe? We're only one episode in but it has promise, the acting that seemed annoying in the trailer felt alot better and natural. This is more akin to watching a teen drama like teen wolf, vampire diaries but set in the MCU with vibranct colour and mission impossible plans. Overall its been made for a target audience which many shows try to please to many and fail, this is on target and even let's extended audiences feel welcome.

Antony Star deserves an Oscar

I think everyone loves this show if you like superhero films but I watch it for Home Lander, hands down the best super villain ever made, so well acted!

Watch Dracula Untold Instead
26 May 2022
0 back story, weak plot, weak villain, a character I hope is reworked somehow or to just use Dracula from Dracula Untold Instead in the future. This is why Sony should not handle Marvel characters, both Venom films and now this utter garbage, so glad I didn't pay to see it.

How does this have 7/10? Amazon ruining a classic, probably so with LOTR to!

I'm a massive fan of the games. This is utter garbage. They should follow Mandolorians footsteps, in the games you never see chief without a helmet, in this series you rarely see him with one? Amazon thought they had something but didn't do their research, makes their lord of the rings series seem inevitably bad.

Intriguing "love story" into Tokyo's subculture.
22 May 2022
I love Asian cinema but I have concentration issues so usually avoid subtitled movies and will never watch dubbed. This just grabs you from episode one and keeps grabbing you and pulling you into the next episode. I'm struggling for words as there have been very few TV shows that have had that "binge" affect like this on me.

Enjoyable but I did fast forward some parts.

Warning: Spoilers
Really enjoyed the series apart from Smurfs over acting. Great point break vibes I fast forwarded every single one of Smurfs flashback scenes as they are pure filler and boring as hell. Hope they don't use them in season six!

The Lincoln Lawyer (2022– )

Compelling and Charismatic
20 May 2022
I don't know the original stories or characters which has seemed to sour some reviews. A brilliant series committed to making you want more, fantastic pace and not to much legal jargon to prevent a casual viewer from following the plot. Side plots were handled very well which usually distract from the main character and story but this intertwined them perfectly, the ups felt great and the downs were profound but not enough to make you doubt the the main Character. A more Cinematic approach to" suits "

2 episodes in, I'm hooked
18 May 2022
Started my night off with season two of Castle Rock, got half hour in and put this on, second episode in I find the "hero" cast very charismatic and want to know what happens! No over the top acting, very slick so far.

Intriguing but annoying, Autumn's Character is Jarring.
16 May 2022
Feels like I sci-fi rip off of Yellowstone which I was excited about being fans of both genre's. Brolin is brilliant, rest of the cast just felt lackluster and Autumn's Character is just flat out annoying and unnecessary.

Spoilers. Another great 2/3rds with a dissapointing end.
12 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Entered this film knowing there would be some fantasy or dream scenes and was as really enjoying it. The whole mission comes to a dissapointing last 1/3rd which was slow and without reward. The best scene is definitely the first village raid and then the build up to vengeance was pitifully taken away from us by a dream scene. I feel like lost movies these days get towards end of filming and then lose motivation and passion for the film, this is a classic example.
