Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)

New cut makes it unwatchable

I loved this movie when it came out. Tried to watch the new version tonight and shut it off after 20 minutes. The new scenes totally ruin the movie. My wife and I kept saying "I don't remember this part" over and over again. Worst part was we'd convinced the kids to watch it because "it's hilarious".

It's not the "Anchorman" you remember. They had enough material when they shot the original to make two movies. I guess they took some of it and made "Amchorman 2" and the rest they recut in an "Anchorman" special edition.

Do yourself a favour and skip it. Remember it as the original hilarious movie it was.

I've seen worse. I've seen a lot better. I'm actually watching it right now but would rather be talking about how boring it is.

The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021)

Great family movie

We all laughed. A lot. We were all glued to the tv the entire time and everyone walked away saying what a great movie it was and that we'd watch it again

Of course it predictable. The family that isn't getting along have to fight an army of robots to save the world. Did you think they'd stay estranged and die fighting the robot hoards thereby dooming the human race? Now that would be a terrible movie

It's a good funny movie with a heart and a message. The entire family will love it.

The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019)

Hated this movies. My kids thought it was hilarious. Obviously didn't have enough material for a full movie so they had to have a second cute yet dumb story with baby birds in the lead. Save your money. Let the kids watch it at home without you

Just watch the animated version

This film offers nothing new. New versions of "Jungle Book", "Pete's Dragon", "Mallificent (Sleeping Beauty)" etc all offer a new take on the story. This is just simply the same story with a worse Geenie and one new out of place song ("Speechless") that you know was only added in the hopes of an Oscar nomination. I didn't feel like I was watching a new movie just actors trying to bring animation to life
